I'm optimistic...but decidedly realistic...c'mon Panthers.

Don't tell my in laws (big NC State fans, who have brainwashed my son into yelling, "Go Wolfpack!") that I'm rooting hard for the Panthers today.

I've got it here. Georgia State looked good on their first drive, but hasn't done much since. Defense is doing a good job though keeping them in it.

Panthers drove into NC State territory. Had a 4th and inches, went for it, and for some reason tried a reverse to Penny Hart. It backfired completely against NC State's speed. Wolfpack take over.

The replay on the 3rd down catch showed it should have been a first down. Caught it and went down on the 39.

Finley's gonna put 600+ passing yards at this rate. Defense for the Panthers is playing well, but our pass defense is swiss cheese.

Refs are hot, they wanna go home.....

Field goal is blocked. Still 27-7

Cant afford to leave points on the field. Not against superior opponent. Not when all 50/50 calls and penalties are going against us. Not on the road in a hostile environment.

I never expected us to take down NCST but the game was closer than the score indicated. I saw enough positive things to have optimism going forward. Our offense moved the ball far better on NCST than against KSU last week. Our defense fought hard and stood tall today. Our run defense looks like something special.

All I want to see is steady progress during first 4 weeks before the conference play really kicks in. That showed today. Big progress from the poor performance last week.

Watched that whole game. That game was not close. Perceived or otherwise.

No one said the game was close. I said it was closer for the majority of the game. Really ought to have been 27-13 by 4th with missed field goals but that's on the special team. Defense was gassed by 4th and gave up quick TDs late. Depth eventually played out, which happens in the p5 v g5 matchup

Depth and a few mistakes that left points on the board and directly led to points for them.
