Since we are the road team, it's almost a dead heat in terms of who Vegas thinks is better, but I think that is fair. Their wins at Maryland and Navy are probably better than any of our wins and I expect a very close game.

It's certainly going to be a tough road game - and I think the bye week will have helped with some of the injuries/battle wounds from the first half of the season.

Any update on Doaks? Just incase anyone forgot how good he was last year:

Why not play him just 4 games and Redshirt him?

Doaks is done for the year. Fick said in presser he had hernia surgery a week or two ago. Even without complication that surgery takes a while to heal.

Was his first redshirt elective? If it was, that's a rough way to lose a season and a ton of traction to two guys who are younger than you and not get any recourse on the back end with a medical redshirt...I've said this before, but with Warren playing so well and Thomas and McClelland looking good in their own PT, I wouldn't be shocked to see Doaks transfer.

Depending on his aspirations, he could just roll here for the next 2 yrs and then elect to go pro.

Play our best and 10-0 UC plays 9-0 UCF at Orlando on 11/17.

Would we be game day? Unlikely!
As of the rankings today it would be the only matchup of 2 ranked teams. If both are still undefeated at that point you have a likely top 7 team vs a top 15. Could very well be a gameday location. That being said, I'm not sure either team wins out until then.

This week's matchup with Temple may not mean much from a ranking perspective, but it has big implications for the college football empire map.

Benefits of being in the Top 25 - have to be included in Top 25 stories on ESPN.

No. 20 Cincinnati

The Bearcats are off to an incredible 6-0 start and are ranked in the Top 25 for the first time since 2013. That run includes an opening win against UCLA, but the biggest tests are still ahead of Cincinnati. Whether or not the team can get through a gauntlet of Navy, USF and UCF all in a row is yet to be seen. Those three games, especially the test against UCF, will determine whether or not this team is for real. A win against UCF in Orlando on Nov. 17 would be a big statement for head coach Luke Fickell and his staff. -- VanHaaren

Transferring wouldn't really make sense either as he would lose a year of eligibility. If he wants to be a pro, and I'm assuming he does, he is better off staying here than transferring to a lower tier sunbelt team or something. He will most likely get more carries in 2 years here than he would in 1 year somewhere else and the NFL has shown that they can find guys from anywhere if they have good tape.

This Mark's our 43rd week in the AP poll. Here's to finishing the season by hitting 50.

Since he hasn't played this year, couldn't this count as his cool off year? I thought we had a situation where we were the beneficiary of that at some point in the last decade.
