I had turned college football off after UC's loss and never imagined the Boilermakers could prevail. Now I'm disappointed I didn't get to witness the Buckeye meltdown in real time.

I've watched just a few minutes of OSU games a couple of times this year. I detected some weaknesses, but never imagined they wouldn't roll through the B10 undefeated. Long faces and diminished productivity in many Columbus businesses this morning I'm sure.

I imagine if UC had won, WLW would have been running promos this morning touting itself as the broadcast home of Ohio's only undefeated team. Remember similar ones in '09 when UC outranked OSU at one point? Buckeye nation was incensed.

UCF won't make the playoff but I'd hate to see the Knights edged out by Appalachian State for the access bowl slot. The AAC needs to be in the big bowl once again going into TV contract negotiations next year.

Dude, you blew it.

Seeing Urbie on the sidelines absolutely soiling himself...

Seeing silver buckeye man standing there like a moron as everyone around him was going bonkers...

And then, that last pick 6 just to smear their faces in it... fabulous.

I was hoping they would go for 2 too hang 50 on to$u

If they play like they did Saturday, no way. But if they play and respond the way they typically respond under Meyer, I think it is very doable. MSU is overrated. They get UM at home. Unless Purdue proves that they have truly transformed overnight, the rest of the west doesn't impress.

I didn't watch, but read elsewhere that Herbstreit was trashing the American on Gameday last weekend and there was talk that App State was more deserving. So the Sun Belt's short stay in the top 25 is now history.

I believe the defenders of the status quo (the P5 and its stranglehold on a four team playoff), just resent the American Conference producing top tier teams that draw into question the validity of the model. ESPN probably feels the same way as they are faced with a renewal of the AAC TV deal next year. Here's hoping South Florida and UCF remain undefeated and ranked until UC gets a shot at each.

Glad Ohio U. keeps winning. And I see that UCLA, who "the experts" were saying wouldn't win a single game after losing to UC, now has two victories. It's a long season.

Crazy tidbit:

Quote:Georgia Tech and Georgia Southern both cruised to blowout wins last night, and they completed combined one pass.

Wake Forest is likely Louisville's last chance at a win this year, and they're scoring at will so far. 21-7 after the first quarter. I'll be surprised if Petrino lasts the season - the Cards seem to be in full meltdown.

You think it'll only take one bad year to get rid of Petrino? Lamar Jackson was just there last year. I imagine he has at least one more season in him there unless he decides to wreck his bike with his mistress on the back and lie to police about it. Wait, I think he already did that. It was in Fayetteville though so that doesn't count in Louisville, right? I bet they go after Brohm when Petrino is gone.

Huge buyout - funny to think UofL might be unable to afford it. How finances can change so quickly.

Petrino has 3 relatives on staff making a total of $650k.

Wisconsin is on it's way to being unranked. 10-31 in the 4th at Northwestern.

South Florida loses to Houston big. 57 to 36. We need to beat them. Hope it is cold that day. They will have trouble if it is.

Man, Coach Strong has just totally lost it. WTF. He was a pretty decent DC, then HC at Loserville. Then UT, and now USF. Though USF has a sparkling record the last cpl years they just haven't seemed like a truly formidable team along the way.

I think they still beat us, but they're going to lose to any team that's better....and likely do so convincingly.

In other news.....TCU goes from playing OSU really REALLY tough for 3.5 quarters to losing to Kansas. This is the very rare Patterson down year. Might miss out on a bowl game.

I agree we lose most times to them. But I think the weather could be a factor for the Florida kids not use to it. Plus the way we are playing the last 2 games it will be hard.

USF isn’t that good. Should have lost to Tulsa.
