Just trying to do an inventory of former UAB players still on NFL rosters as the first cuts are about to come down. Here's who I can think of so far:

Gerald Everett (LA Rams)
Jordan Howard (Chicago)
Chris Hubbard (Cleveland)
Matt McCants (Chicago)
Roland Milligan (Detroit)
J.J. Nelson (Arizona)
Victor Salako (NY Giants)
Chris Schleuger (Pittsburgh)
Joe Webb (Houston)
Darious Williams (Baltimore)

I don't think Kennard Backman has signed anywhere, so he may be done, and I am pretty sure Darrin Reaves' career is over because of some off the field stuff.

Anyone else that I am missing? Several of the above have other schools listed on their rosters since they finished elsewhere after the shutdown (#fireraywatts), and there may be others like them I can't think of.

I have been told Darrin Reaves is a High School Coach as of last year.

He signed with them in April but currently they have five quarterbacks on their roster and he is not one of them.

I believe he had rotator cuff surgery after last season - played with injury all season. So, I don't think he was expected to be available this season

I'm confused because I can't find any indications that he has been cut, so maybe it was a future/ reserve contract? He's not on the roster, but usually when someone is released, it is a news item.

Internet tells me it is an UDFA (undrafted free agent agreement). I know nothing about those.

Haven't watched the NFL in a few years but I am guessing the UDFA contracts aren't worth more than their weight in sand.

Guard Chris Schleuger waived by the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Quarterback Joe Webb (Wenonah) released by the Houston Texans.
Safety Rolan Milligan waived by the Detroit Lions.

If Joe doesn't get picked up, he'd be a great add for Birmingham's Alliance pro team.

Players have to be released before they can be added to the practice squad. Then there are 8-10 guys most teams keep close by or on speed dial , just in case. Teams that cut down to 52 today are shopping heavily tonight. After 12 noon, teams will announce their practice squad signees.

Nearly all NFL contracts are useless. If it is not guaranteed money, you may or may not ever see a penny of it.

Yea, I see where you are coming from, but the CFL is a very complicated place to play, Just ask Johny Manzell. Its, knot like hey, I Cant start in the NFL so I will go play in the CFL. Its a motion league which not many can play. Even though it is still Football it is a entirely different game of football.

Milligan was signed to Detroit's practice roster.

Joe should do whatever provides the most money for him & his family.

$75,000 in the American Alabama Football league probably isn't enough for what he is still worth.
