ESPN+ and ESPN Insider Merge
FYI- ESPN announced yesterday that ESPN Insider and ESPN+ will be merging next week, August 28th.

Meaning, if you currently subscribe to ESPN Insider, ESPN+ will be added at no additional cost to you. The current annual cost of ESPN Insider (until they merge next week) is $39.99 while ESPN+ is $49.99. If you subscribe to Insider in the next 5 days, you can essentially save $10 off of an annual subscription to ESPN+ while getting all the benefits- mostly written articles- of ESPN Insider as well.

It will still be $4.99 per month, and after the merger the annual subscription will be $49.99. ESPN Insider is currently $39.99 annually and current ESPN Insider subscribers will be grandfathered in at that rate.

I assume so. I think after they merge it will all be one platform.

About as good a move as ESPN has made in a long time.

Its still $4.99 a month. The difference is that Insider charged 4.99 a month but 39.99 for a year rather than the 49.99 that is ESPN+

Essentially, you could sign up for the next 5 days at the original annual subscription price to Insider, and get plus as well for 10 dollars cheaper than the annual subscription to plus.

Its only a 1 year deal. Beginning August 28th, Insider will charge the same as plus annually, so you'd save 10 bucks this year, but next August, when the charge came around again, you'd pay 49.99

I'm only using ESPN+ to watch Troy and Sun Belt football. So I'll spend the $20 or so over four months. No need for an annual plan.

RE: ESPN+ and ESPN Insider Merge
Per ESPN they do not know which day the people who buy Insider will get Plus. That one tweet said August 28 but ESPN didn’t say that date. I was going to purchase Plus when I first needed it to see a USA game, and do month to month through basketball, but this deal intrigued me. I purchased it and I do not have Plus right now. Hopefully I have it on or after the 28th.
