Maybe they’ll announce it at the end of camp?
It was just after the kids camp last year that they announced it.

Remember, some players want to keep their number, because they believe it lucky, or a number they have always worn, or whatever. My point being, you may not see a number change this year, even though it is considered an honor in remembrance of a former player. Let's see how this develops.

"Now nearly five years later with the blessing of Reed's family and former teammates, his number will once again grace the field at Rynearson Stadium. Moving forward, Eastern Michigan will issue the No. 2 to the squad's best/senior wide receiver as a way of remembering and honoring Reed.

Players will not get the opportunity to choose No. 2 by picking it out in the equipment room. They will earn it through their actions both on and off the field. This player will possess the integrity, character, and selflessness all of EMU's football players and representatives strive to build within themselves."

I guess since we have so few senior WRs this year, maybe they don't feel it's a good fit for anyone? Or maybe they'll issue it last minute.

Banham is playing slot. Give it to him.

If no one is deserving, I like the idea of not doing it every year.

Creighton on the MAC teleconference when asked who will start at QB: "We haven't talked about that publicly yet."

Sounds like they have a starter but aren't going to announce. But he did say they have multiple QBs who have taken reps with the 1s.

Depth chart is on page 14 of the link Eagle King shared.

QB is listed with the 1 Weigers OR Glass. No surprises there. At WR, Banham is listed above Latu at the H receiver spot... Surprising, but I'm sure throughout the season Latu will get PLENTY of reps and make take the starting spot back.

I am surprised however that Michael Thompson didn't show up on the two-deep at WR. We'll see how that shakes out through this year.

Also saw that at PK it’s Fricano or Ryland. Saw an interesting tweet from Paulie that may have been alluding to this. Wonder if one will handle PATs and one longer distance.

In the video conference, CC would not name a starting QB as has been normal for him. Did speak highly of Issac even though he is 3rd on the depth chart.

I saw that at PK too. At a scrimmage I saw a Ryland hit a 45-yarder from the hash. The kid has a leg. That will be interesting to watch.

CC said at the presser that you have to come out on Friday to see who the starting quarterback will be.

So who, if anyone, will step up as a playmaker at receiver? I mean a guy that can make thing happen when he gets the ball in space. Q. Williams? A. Jax?

My first question as well. I realize that he coughed up the ball some but correcting that is teachable, his breakout speed and moves are not.

Don't be. Wouldn't expect to see him much. All our best receivers are 5'11/6'. We're gonna roll with that.

Rohrschneider the backup at RG. Van Hoeven moved to Center, now the backup. Sow is pushing Armstrong......has the talent, just a mental/temperament thing with him.
