Tailgating at Liberty
Heading to Lynchburg for the ODU game. Can someone fill me in as to how the tailgating works? Do they enforce the no alcohol rule if you’re in a school General Parking lot? If so are there any off campus lots that are available? If none of that works, any decent wine bars within walking distance of the stadium?

I've been told that as long as it's in a cup and you aren't acting like a fool, you won't be bothered.

What about best parking, easiest for getting in/out. I’ll probably show up just before game time so tailgating not an issue.

Personally I would go near Docs if you could. #6 on the map anything on that side is pretty easy to get out. I’m not sure what the parking for games will be since I haven’t been on campus in a while.

Also to the drinking comment if it’s in a solo cup you should be good. Just don’t act a fool and you’ll be good.

Tailgating at Liberty
I’d like to be able to set our tailgate up in the middle of the Liberty crowd. When you’re in a cool town (i.e. Boone or Huntington), it’s always fun to interact with the locals.

Any ideas in that regard?

Docs would be good for that but Speakman or Bailey would have a lot of the locals. I’m not sure what would be required to get into those lots. I found the link for tailgating.

Do a Google Maps search and you will find most every conceivable restaurant chain on Wards Road (Rt. 29). LU has an elevated walking bridge over Wards Road to the school to the stadium. The last thing the school wants is to be heavy handed with those consuming adult beverages, have word get out, and be known as holy rollers who don't allow alcohol. As many have said, keep it in a cup and you will be fine.

You may be better off going to the message boards of our opponents from last year and asking them about their experience.

I’d think Liberty folks’ll tell ya that we are very nice and treat everyone with great care.
