Uc wouldn’t want to host the tourney in that old POS arena.

The local fans don't even want to go to US Bank. Most go to Louisville for concerts.
Hell, UC drove right past US Bank to get to NKU all of last season.

Per ESPN 1/15/19 Bracketology:
Big Ten (10)
ACC (8)
SEC (7)
Big 12 (7)
American (4) (Houston, Cincy, UCF, Temple)
Big East (4)
Mountain West (2)
Pac-12 (2)
It is an off year for the AAC, but the conference still might manage 4 bids.

A little blind resume comparison here (obviously you can find out who it is pretty easily, but I'm just removing the names)
Team A:
NET ~10 spots better than Team B
1-2 Q1 (1-0 H, 0-2 A)
4-1 Q2 (1-0 H, 1-1 N, 2-0 Away)
8-0 Q3/4
4-2 Road record
SOS 39
Team B:
NET ~10 spots worse than Team A
1-2 Q1 (all away)
2-2 Q2 (1-1 H, 1-0 N, 0-1 A)
9-0 Q3/4
1-3 Road record
SOS 31
According to Lunardi, these two teams are nearly identical ... To me, one of those two teams has a much better resume.

I am embarrassed to state I do not know the teams. However, I am interested if you wish to provide the answer.

Lunardi has them playing each other in the play in game.
