I know it's just a stab in the dark but obviously I hope this guy is right.

NCAA Basketball: Pros and cons of transfer Khadim Sy’s final 3 teams

https://bustingbrackets.com/2019/05/11/n...l-3-teams/

"Sy is a guy who was unhappy during his freshman season at Virginia Tech. He left, he came back and left again.

When a kid like that is choosing a school, I have to think that if there is a school in his final three that has a coach he has played for before, along with two former teammates, he’s going to be comfortable there. When you add in the fact that the Pirates play in a league where he will be able to put up numbers, I think you have a bingo.

My prediction is that Khadim Sy will be a Pirate of East Carolina."

why even commit...nba draft stuff ends in 2 weeks, why not wait

this was a very selfish move, that might hurt memphis.... this was clearly to secure a spot becuase he felt others were going to commit and making sure his options are open

Hampton and boogie both might not come now...and he himself might not even come...

plus everything that was said about lester by that UC fan(which i dont think is true), is what im starting to fear about tucker.. to me it seems memphis will be a year long combine in which he is trying to prove he is NBA worthy....
every other recruit, i think they care about starting..but i dont think theyd care about stats as long as they are winning....i think he will care about stats

this leaves a bad taste in my mouth..why commit and say nba 1st an hour later (shows where his head is at)

I do not have blind trust in coaches, but the potential issue you mentioned is certainly known to at least one of a trio of NBA vets (Hardaway, Miller, and Mitchell) and a seasoned NCAA coach (Madlock). I surmise they have methods to deal with divas (e.g., the bench).

Also, Hampton and Boogie will have a different role than Tucker. I do not think the duo will be deterred by Tucker's commitment alone.

Hampton isn't committing until August anyway.

We will know what Tucker is doing WAY before then.

I don't think this will have any effect Boogie.

Beat out Stanford, Oklahoma State, and Texas Tech for him. Out of high school he was a 3 star prospect with offers from Rutgers, Minn., Wisc., USF, BC, and DePaul.

Temple is closing in on a former 4 star PF transfer from the big 10 as well.

I’d be VERY surprised if they picked up Jake Forrester from Indiana if that’s the 4* you’re referencing they’re “closing in on”.

Duke, A&M, VT, VCU, Penn State and PITT all want him so if Temple actually pulled that off then damnnnnn.

un ******* real

word on the street is somehow Temple is gonna snag Jake Forrester
It is official!

Temple might finally be back.....I remember when they made like 5 E8s in 10 years....

Wow, surprising and huge get for Memphis.

Disagree this hurts their chances for Boogie though.....

Add Boogie to be the general and snag PA and let the hype train hit overdrive.

1) you are missing my point..if wiseman scores 7 points a game but yall went undefeated and went to the final 4.. he would be celebrating ...that same scenario i dont think tucker will be ..

it has nothing to do with degrees but achieving something great in college/ncaa tourney..

everyone else that is committing i get the vibe it is becuase they feel they can do something great at memphis next season that might be historic even if its for 1 year... from tucker i get the vibe of there will be nba scouts at memphis, i dont really care what happens at memphis as long as i can get into the NBA

2) they all want to be starters..when talking about elite recruits, its not about slots its about starting slots.....boogie left duke solely because he didnt see a starting point spot at Duke

rayjon is a point guard..getting rayjon affects boogie and hampton.....and rayjon himself is aying he might not even come.....you could lose all 3

Thank you. I am surprised, although pleasantly so.

Rayjon may be the best pick-up outside of Wiseman because he also gives you experience and leadership with such a young team.

This... This moves the needle for next year more than the other guys minus Wiseman. He knows how D1 works

Rayjon is a PG? 03-lmfao

He played the 3 for Little Rock.

He is coming. He wants the NBA, not just the pros. That dream has to die first. If he doesn't make it now (he won't), he will play for us a year, then hope that's enough to get drafted.

Boogie is committing this coming week. He will start at PG.

Tucker will start at the 2 or 3, likely.

RJ isn't likely coming.

The only squeeze right now is fitting Tucker, Quinones and Jeffries all into the 2 and 3 slots. All want to start.

But in Penny's uptempo system, 10 guys can get minutes. Best ones get the most. If you're gonna be a pro, it shouldn't be an issue.

Beyond that, I'll let Penny worry about it.

tucker says he is a point guard and wants to run point in the pros...247 lists him as a point guard..most nba draft sites say he will be a shooting guard or point in the pros

i dont get the laughing emoji

him, boogie and hampton are all fighting the same bigger picture..they are top scorers who all want top prove they can play point/run a team at the next level...
all because you are trying to make it work in your head doesnt mean theyll see it like that

..and my point seems to keep on missing, his emphasis seems seems to be proving he is nba quality not winning games...that dream wont "die" if he comes back...it will mean he has another year to put out film/stats to show he is worthy

i cant tell if im explaining this very badly or you are just being homer blind to what im saying..as this is a very simple concept...
....player might forcibly try to carry team/mess with chemistry just to make himself look good for scouts vs player trying to make history by team winning even if it means less stats

-cam redddish passed the ball a ton of the times to zion and rj who had a chance at getting better shots ..instead of taking a ton of shots himself to prove he should be the #1 pick...as an example

Tucker could be an issue...

He was ball dominant last year and if he doesn't get drafted this year he could be trying to get numbers to impress scouts when we need him to share the load.

But that is a good problem to have...I would rather have great hungry players than below average unselfish players.

That will put Belin coaching into his 70's. I guess 75 is the new 65 in coaching but for him I don't really see the draw of coaching what will be a lame Cavs team. I guess just to have a new challenge and being in the NBA. He's been a coach at literally every level so I guess most can't say that.

In other news it's getting about time for wonder boy Brad Stevens and Billy "what am I doing" Donovan to make their college returns. Didn't go so hot for either of them in the NBA last year. Infact if I were Michigan Donovan would be my first call. He might actually make the jump before he's fired.

Michigan's current AD is Warde Manuel, who was responsible for the Diaco and Ollie hires. Poor Wolverines.

No need to Coach Em Up in Ann Arbor, Gregg. The program, university, and town sells itself. Send out the Top 100 offers, watch the talent come in, then sit back and relax as you cruise to the Sweet 16 each year for the rest of your career.

So one of his hires in Ollie managed a National Title. It seems like you could acknowledge some of the good too with the bad. It needs acknowledging when you hit that level IMO.
