2019 Frisco Tickets
I saw a bison fan post that he went to 3 of their first 5 title games, including the first 2 in a row. He said he saw the DFW area and by the third time, it had a been there done that feel to it. He’s chosen to stay home and watch on tv since 2015.

I don’t blame him. Save the money.

Plenty of inventory left also. Would think they will drop another $5-10 per day at least now. I can't see remaining buyers being motivated to buy quickly. The typical pattern is seats at $50 or less on game day.

RE: 2019 Frisco Tickets
I show about 360 tickets left, including SRO. Does that sound about right? Looks like it will be very close to a sellout, if not a sellout. Over 98% now.

Officially a sellout from NCAA perspective I believe.

StubHub shows about 550 seats, and FlashSeats has ballpark 500-800 I think (228 listing at 1-4 seats, quite a few with just 1). There is overlap, most of the StubHub seats will also be on Flash. StubHub sellers will transfer using Flash seats.

Prices still at $75-$800. Sellers asking that much this close to the game doesn't bode well for the seats that remain at Flash to be sold out. There will likely be at least a few hundred still on game day. Some ndsu fans believe this is "professional" scalpers/agents that bought in August this year who are holding out on price. It does seem a bit odd.

Still, I think the stadium will feel pretty full capacity wise, with just some scattered vacant seats.

I think ticket demand for this event has peaked. I question buying tickets again next August, especially if the NCAA prices remain the same or go up. All the JMU fans who want to go have not have a problem getting tickets this time around.

Yeah, next year I'm probably going to pass on buying in August. I can get great seats through JMU and reselling them has become less and less profitable.

You do realize fans are passing due to location and lack of past ticket availability at a reasonable price, right? That's directly correlated with venue size.

I'd argue that we would need a bigger venue if they weren't pushing the price yearly towards $100 per person.

I'd also argue they'd make more money on the whole (at least when JMU and/or NDSU is in the game) by putting it in a 60k capacity venue and charging $60 after fees.

I'd question if JMU and NDSU could fill a 60k venue, even if the tickets cost $1. Most of the expenses are travel related (hotels, airline tickets, meals). Not sure the ticket price is that big a factor overall.

We're an avid fan base but we're not that avid. I'm with you - $1 tickets won't draw 60K (half at 30K)

They couldn’t. Both teams could maybe barely fill 60k between their two home stadiums if home capacity allowed. Factoring in travel costs, complacency/tolerance to the experience, and it’s just not possible.

It’s only going to get worse, and a change of venue, free tickets, free beer, etc. won’t change that.

I would add time as a big factor as well. As mentioned earlier, when it's your first appearance at the show, time plays little significance. Your house burns to the ground the day before you're supposed to leave, you say what the heck and go get on the plane. By the fourth or fifth time, dealing with your personal situations begins to take priority.

When the game was in Chatty, a huge majority took only Friday off from work, had one night of lodging, and drove to the game. The driving only applied to JMU fans, Montana primarily flew. Overall, the cost to the fan was significantly less. It's very rare in Frisco to have people drive and have less than two nights lodging. Most of the alumni have no issue, it's the spouses and the kids where there's a problem. I suspect quite a few of the tickets that are being unloaded fall under this umbrella.

RE: 2019 Frisco Tickets
Please note that I did not say that we could fill a 60k venue in my previous comment. More about 100% guaranteed ticket availability, and in the higher prestige venue category. If the Gasparilla Bowl can get Raymond James (with an attendance of just under 29k this year, which is more than attainable), surely the FCS championship can as well.

I am all in when the location is 8 hour or less drive. When it gets over that, it gets to be a very expensive trip for say a family of 4 when there is airfare, ground transportation, meal, hotel, etc........the game ticket prices are not a limiting factor at all in my opinion. It quickly turns into a very expensive trip for a family for 2-3 days and a football game.

We went to Colgate for example last year. Long drive, but very affordable 2-3 trip.

Especially when you know that one crappy performance like at UNH last year could mean you’ve wrecked everything and caused trouble for no reason if there aren’t home games. Not to mention how much tougher it was this year when the calendar set up so odd with a late T’giving and essentially only two weekends available between then and Xmas (for a lot of folks, this coming week is already Xmas travel and planning wise)

Your argument is no different than PurpleStreamers back in December. Which is to say, you're just talking about priorities and overgeneralizing as to how prevalent they are.

Frankly I don't even get the end of your premise. The die-hard of the family bought tickets and then had to unload because their spouse and kids became a problem? What changed between purchase and now?

Exactly why I passed last fall. Even getting them you could’ve been stuck on the other side and trying to flip them for our sideline.

Yea there's a lot of "Bison Fatigue" around here. I mean, we are like 126-8 what do you expect? i cant fault them, plus Frisco has been 35 degrees and windy alot more than 75 and sunny in last 8-9 years. in fact, I think we've only had 1 really hot day.
