Don't know, probably not. I already stated I'm an optimist. I see the above record as possible, without any massive upsets. I expect to win all FCS games (GSU vs Kennesaw is the ?). I have 8 teams at 2-2 OOC with App and stAte at 3-1. I'm taking a gamble on a CCU W vs U Mass and USA vs La Tech, but I have Troy losing to both Nebraska and Boise and I think Troy has a real chance win both games.

So that's winning all FCS games and losing all P5 games and a winning record vs G5. Also, we as a conference have what I would consider a favorable schedule vs our G5 opponents.

IMO the SBC took a minor step back last year OOC, but I believe in the overall upward trajectory of the conference.

I think ULM beats USM and possibly knocks off Texas A&M or Ole Miss. Tim Brando said the other night he thinks there is a good chance of both happening.

I will say I think 2-2 is reasonable for the Bobcats. out of the three non FCS games, we got NMSU, UTSA, & Rutgers. I gotta think we can squeeze out at least one win out of those.

Again, that's got a heavy dose of homerism, and based on the last two years doesn't seem likely... But I'm feeling pretty decent about being able to pull off an upset or four this season (and since I figure we'll be the dogs in at least 11 of our games, any of those wins would be considered upsets).

I like our QB coach, feel good about the future with the POTENTIAL (dreaded word in San Marcos) of our QB's, like the talent at our WR, and think our OL finally has SOME depth, and think our defense will at worst be decent this season.

First game of the season with a new QB (looking at it positively, I say that puts Rutgers with the unknown there) and a solid defense could cause us to push the over.

Not saying it is a lock, but I'm cautiously hopeful.

We need wins, not close calls or being respectable. Wins should be the goal for all of us. Here's hoping we have our best OOC year ever.

I saw one media outlet that had ULM at a ~65% chance of beating Ole Miss

8 of 10 teams go 2-2 or better OOC - that is overly optimistic.

If we were to beat one of those two, I would say it would be Ole Miss. They have a real potential to be heading into dumpster fire territory by the time we play them. Texas A&M is set up for the bigger trap game with us being sandwiched between Clemson and Alabama but they have way more talent and a much better coach. Ole Miss has a caretaker coach and they are just waiting to get off of probation.

As wins have not been a common thing in San Marcos lately, I'm trying to crawl before we walk.

Just looking at the results thread and wanted to pat myself on the back for being pretty close. With the Southern Miss game (assuming we win) I'd have nailed it. Yay for me!
