Watching MAC on TV this fall
So will I need a paid subscription in order to watch WMU/ other MAC games this fall? Or will they be for free on ESPN 3 or something?

Thanks

Your standard cable login should get you access.

The weeknight WMU/MAC games will be on ESPN, ESPN2, or CBS Sports Network.

Out-of-conference vs Syracuse should likewise be on one of the above, ABC, CBS, or FOX. Vs UofM will be on the latter or Big 10 Network.

Games you'll have to watch on ESPN3 would be the remainder.

What about ESPN+? Also, I heard EPSN3 was moving to be a paid service?

I believe games that are on the ESPN streaming platform that we’ve been watching for free the last few years are now subscription at $5 a month. There might be a cheaper annual rate.

You can access for free still games that are shown on their cable/satellite channels.

I think it is split. Some are still free, but ESPN+ is definitely 5 a month.

If it says ESPN3 then it is free like the past. Anything that says ESPN+ you have to pay for as part of the new service. If you pay for the year, I believe it is $50. So it is like $10 off from paying per month.

But there is no contract and it is month to month so you can just pay $5 for 4 months during football season $20, and then cancel if you don't want to watch basketball.

RE: Watching MAC on TV this fall
Even if you want both basketball and football, you can do Sept-Oct-Nov for football as the December games will be on TV, and January-Feb for hoops since the bulk of the March games (MAC tourney) will be on TV as well. Or you can splurge and get some December and March hoops and you still have paid $35. $25 gets you almost all of what will be available for both sports. Certainly a year subscription doesn’t make much sense unless you watch all the other sports that are on there. Not even sure what is on there June thru August.
