Is Boise State that good, is Troy that bad, or was it a combination of the two? I'm assuming that this was likely a game that was the result of growing pains for Troy against a perpetually well prepared Boise State team.

Boise State is VERY good. They looked every bit of a NY6 Bowl team.

Troy isn't bad. It's tough to break in a new QB and RB against a team like Boise State. Give Troy a game or two and I believe the team will begin to get and communicate better.

Neal Brown mentioned after the game that the communication between the O-Line, as well as the secondary were not good.

Boise is very good, but it has to be a little alarming for Troy fans that the defense was as bad they were today. They really need that defense to be good, especially early in the season while the offense gets untracked.

A little surprised. Not necessarily at the outcome but the fact the outcome was never really in doubt from the first whistle. I fully expected Troy to be in it till the end.

Boise is good and a real top 25 team. Troy played poorly and could not answer with the horses needed. Troy will get better but you arn't the team of last year for sure.

Boise looked like world beaters against Troy, as did Oklahoma against FAU. My gut tells me that neither Troy or FAU will have near the seasons they had a year ago. Still, it WAS just the first game of the season for both. There's still lots of time for both to improve.

Tough loss for Troy.

G5 "champ" looks like a Boise/UCF battle after week 1.

You can pass on Troy...could pass on Troy last year. Key for their defense is whether they can shut teams down in the red zone. That's what won them a share of a conference title last year, red zone defense.

It's pretty classic bend but don't break, Boise broke it though.
