I tend to think that less regulation would be better as the market would manage itself... oh wait, we are talking about football aren't we?
Less rules for players to follow and officials to enforce would mean the natural health and safety of the players would be protected by the style of play dictated by the coaches' calls and the players decisions.
But what do I know.....

IMO, remove the helmets and go back to leatherheads. As long as you have a helmet that can be used as a battering ram, it will be used as one - rules or not.
Either that or accept football as violent with consequences and leave it be as is.

In all seriousness, Antarius, I agree. I played football in JH, HS and college. My mom was worried sick, my dad was proud, and my grandmothers and Aunts were nervous wrecks.... lol. It's the nature of the game. And I wouldn't give one second of it back now. Great memories I have. It helped make me the man I am now.
