Jim Fox's rebuilding of the Mountaineer's hoops program took a big step forward today with the commitment of Top 150 recruit SF Donovan Gregory. Gregory joins fellow Charlotte standout PG JC Tharrington and 6-9 Breki Glyfason from Iceland in the 2019 class. The Mountaineers are looking to sign 1 more freshman. The rebuilding took a dramatic turn last year with transfers Joseph Battle (Tulsa) & Mike Bibby (USF). As a senior Battle was Mr Basketball and the Gatorade POY in SC. Bibby was MaxPreps Honorable Mention All-American and a two-time All-Arizona selection (top five regardless of position). As a senior he was named Arizona Player of the Year. Also waiting in the wings for 2019 is 6-8 UTC transfer James Lewis. It's taken some time, but it appears Mountaineer Basketball is finally recovering from the Jason Capel distaster.

Glyfason is an incoming freshman.

About time...I only come back to Boone in the winter for skiing and scooners (at Macadoos). Would be nice to have another way to fill out my day in town.

Thank goodness Fox got an extension this summer, eh.

App State is one of the most talented teams in the league.

The potential was on display last season... beating UTA, Davidson, and then losing in the last 2 minutes to Iowa State and VCU showed what App State COULD do.
