Graduating high school and college in Louisiana, I got a taste of how LSU treats the rest of the universities in the state. My hatred for LSU is so deep that I rank them right there with Alabama (and you citizens of Alabama can understand that hate of which I speak).

LSU does everything it can to keep other schools down and limit their progression in athletics. They used to refuse to pay "going rates" for football games "because you can bus in and save money on travel". Schools in the ULS has to get permission to raise student fees or get a student vote. So, I don't give a rat's behind about LSU, how they do in recruiting, how they perform on the field or court. To heck with them.

Right on!

This statement right here is the best thing I’ve read all week.

LSU does everything it can to keep other schools down and limit their progression in athletics. They used to refuse to pay "going rates" for football games "because you can bus in and save money on travel". Schools in the ULS haVE to get permission to raise student fees or get a student vote. So, I don't give a rat's behind about LSU, how they do in recruiting, how they perform on the field or court. To heck with them.

Insert thUGA for the most part and you have a carbon copy of my feelings about thUGA. Kirby get laws changed and as soon as he gets here there are limits thrown on GS and GSU about allocated fees. Most of your budget should not come from allocated fees but the initial proposal IIRC would have crippled GS and GSU. Funny how this all came about in an improving economy but just after GS moved up. GT and a ton of transplants to GA keep thUGA's powers probably more in check than LSU's though. I wish all GS fans recognized the utter contempt most thUGA fans have for both GS and GSU and most of anyone associated with thUGA does not want us to succeed and will take every chance to keep us limited but sadly we still have a ton of thUGA nutthuggers in the GS family that send money and support to a school with a elitist dicks or mouth breathing rednecks that look down upon their own alma mater.

Right On!!

It is similar in many states. uk,ut,s. carolina,w. virginia,etc..

---everyone ASSUMES you are a (insert born priveleged school here) fan.

---the media "fawns" all over them; little coverage time given to others

---- stores resist stocking any other team merchandise

----fans of other schools are not respected

----said schools refuse to schedule or do so inequitably

---fans of these schools are often obnoxious and are usually ignorant of basic sports facts

I could list more. These conditions are normal for most of us not in the P5(privileged 5) club.

It is what it is.They never change.EXPECT it and be ready.

Wear it like a badge of courage and be proud of the school you support!!
