Offense: averaged 34ppg last season and lost virtually no one.
Defense: if the defense improves any we go bowling.
Wins: Grambling, Coastal, Texas St, South Al, ULM and NMSU
Losses: Moo St, Bama, stAte, Troy and App
I would have ULM and South as toss ups. The rest are good bets. I'd go with 4-8 or 5-7. Not likely a bowling year.
We literally blew two fourth quarter leads with under 2:30 left in the game last season which would have had up at 7-5 and bowling.
We will actually be better than last year. Are we back to where we were in 6 years ago, nope. But we will be bowling.

ULM averaged 34ppg on offense. Louisiana's offense was at 28ppg. Good for 6th in the conference. Defense gave up 40ppg, good for 11th in the conference, a one point difference from ULM's atrocious 41ppg. That's a huge -12ppg margin of victory that would be difficult for any coach to overcome.
I think its apparent looking at the recruiting threat that UL made a great hire. I just don't think he is going to get it all done in year one. ULM has a much better offense and also brings everyone back, including most if not all of their coaches. They should be much improved and will either take the 1st or 2nd place spot in the west.

that huge 12 pt difference you mentioned, with a coach we fired still netted us more wins than ULM who had a much lower 7 pt margin of victory and a coach they still have. thats including a overtime win against us for ULM. #2 offense in the conference didnt help ULM much last year, but lets make it the reason why they are successful this year. they wont improve a lot on their 34ppg from last year. chances are they fall back vs improve on those numbers. as for their coaching staff, 2 of their offensive coaches are now our coaches. 2nd in the west for Louisiana this year is a very real possibility, will it happen? who knows, but i just wanted to say things look much better for us than what people think.

We beat y’all head up and you had a 3 pt win vs FCS to get one more win. If we played FCS we would had the same amount of wins. Why are the chances we fall back vs improve?
Return our QB and almost whole offense and same OC. Defense will improved to help us get more shots on offense.
