Maddow is wrong. The White House didn't edit a video or a transcript to remove a question posed to Putin. Nor did The Post, which had the same omissions.

Here's what happened.
https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/poli...bfe3fe2e17

might be a paywall.

Thanks for this! I stand corrected for the original thread topic. I will say this though, the article concluded with this point:

Quote:This is not a conspiracy from the White House. While the White House certainly has a track record of misrepresenting facts, this would have been a remarkably futile revision of reality to attempt. As it turns out, they didn’t.

We have all become so accustomed to watching for lies and false statements from this Whitehouse that everything is under a microscope, more than ever before. This WH has a massive credibility problem and a large part of the electorate (myself included) no longer is giving them the benefit of the doubt.

So while (as you aptly pointed out) I (or rather the media, and me by proxy) was wrong here, the premise of distrust remains.

03-lmfao03-lmfao03-lmfao nice walkback.

I got exactly this far: "MSNBC's Rachel Maddow on Tuesday said the White House had appeared..."

You could start by saying "I was wrong to spread fake news" and leave off trying to qualify it and mitigate your own responsibility in disseminating false information.

One would think that by now one would be more careful in using Rafael Mancow as a source for anything accurate. He has been shown repeatedly to be unreliable in her "reporting".

Flipping channels last night and stopped on Tingles show for a few minutes. After about 3 minutes, my wife said "why are you watching this idiot?". Told her I needed a laugh. Its such a complete joke of a TV network.

You mean, the media thats continuously getting things wrong got something wrong? Maybe try to be a little more selective of your "media."

LOL... for millions of Americans the distrust is of the MSM. And rightfully so.
