I definitely agree there. I believe when that deal was announced it was before Kiffin got there, and I remember being incredibly underwhelmed. Now, if Kiffin is still there around the time the game is played, it should be a hell of a game.

Unfortunately we don't have to many average and joke P5's right around the corner. Most SEC schools would lose millions giving up a home game rather than breaking off a G5.

Did I mention those other schools and most of the better ones were added last so it is improving and FAU is real and UAB is too. Also you put out UTSA, Tulsa,Wyoming, and Ohio as examples I would say UAB and FAU as good if not better games as of today than all of those. Things change fast in the G5 they could all suck on game day.

Good teams or not, I'd be willing to bet we get 29k+ for UTSA, UTSA, UTSA, SMU, Baylor, Arizona State, and 25k+ for WYO, Ohio, and Tulsa. Maybe 20k for NMST and EMU though.

We got like 32k for UTSA last year. I have no doubt we can put butts in the seat for OOC games. A combination of us sucking and not having conference mates that interest most of us leads to serious decline as the season goes on.

It makes no sense I fully grant you, but winning isn't the biggest thing to our fans.

As for the series? It's not a bad one, it's just not a "hell yeah!" one either. I'd have preferred if it were a more local G5 school, but then again, I'd have preferred if we were winning more too...

I'll worry about the quality of the schedule once we get that whole "winning" thing figured out. (this makes me in the minority of our overall fanbase that just wants to win and not be cheats)

We did...but that's been the exception more than the rule with us of late. We're always the last ones to get games scheduled it seems.
