This. This isn't the Michigan State situation where you had 95 pound gymnasts. Like you I wrestled throughout high school (prior to that as well). Wrestlers know when a guy is taking liberties with their body-- it never would have gotten to the 2500 or whatever is claimed--- he might get away with it with one guy, but by the second or third guy no coaches would have needed to have been contacted--- someone would have stretched the hell out of him after he reached for their nut-sack when they presented with a shoulder injury. Its what I would have done at that age.

The Paterno analogy doesn't hold water either. In the PSU situation there was a "cover-up" because they were protecting the program's squeaky image. Moreover, that program basically defined PSU. We are taking about a secondary sport at Ohio State-- why would Jordan or any coach cover this issue up? Nobody would have given a crap-- they would have just fired his arse and nobody would have ever heard about it otherwise.

So because these are wrestlers they cannot be victims of sexual assault by an older authority figure? WTF with this thread. Witch hunt or not, the victim blaming/scape goating taking place here is pretty abhorrent.

They certainly could be. But that doesn’t get you anywhere.

You need to prove:
1) That they WERE abused; and
2) That Jordan knew (or should have known, I’ll let you have that); and
3) That as an assistant wrestling coach, he could have done something about it; and
4) That he didn’t do that thing; and
5) That there are no other factors to excuse nonperformance.

You are at best part way to number 1.

If Jim Jordan had complained about the gay doctor at OSU, without an "official" compliant he would have been labeled a homophobe and been sent to sensitivity training. Maybe fired.
