Cool. We lost 8 seniors. Gotta give Ogden a chance to rebuild. The proverbial cubbard is bare.

It stinks. If I believed in conspiracy theories, I would wonder why the AD who was brought here from UT Austin decided to fire the most successful basketball coach in UT Arlington history, just a year after we defeated the 'horns.

Well now. It's coming up on year two of the Ogden era at UTA. He way overachieved last year, turning a random gym full of strangers into a winning team that made it to the conference finals. Was it a fluke? Or is this team going to do great things in 2019-20? Since we still don't have a football team, Arlington fans will have another extra Fall season to look forward to athletic greatness!

Funny to read these old threads and see who said what.

44-47 in three years, 0-1 in the SBC tourney finals (2-1 that year) and one and done the other two times. Really brought us closer than Scott did…

Just missed Scott’s win total by 181. He was closer to attaining Scott’s loss mark though, missing that by 114. Also a full .100 percentage points behind in win percentage.

Scott’s average record was 18.75-13.4. Ogden was 14.7-15.7.

Scott also was a homegrown coach and player. Ogden was a hired gun ready to move.

Bad decision then, even worse now.

I think the Cross dismissal has been beaten like a dead horse, and nobody disagrees. Might be time to let it go.

I just needed to get that out there. My sports therapist said it will never go away if I don’t get it out.

Maybe the horse is dead, but I wonder if we can get Scott Cross back to Arlington by offering him the AD job.
