NESN and NU
http://gonu.com/news/2018/6/25/athletics...rship.aspx

NU announces partnership with NESN. Looks to show 75 NU games on the network next year. I'm a little confused about the details, but it seems like a lot of the games will be streaming on NESN networks.

This deal will get NU on a lot more TV's in the New England area, and I think it will help the school locally with recognition. Konya doing some good work.

It doesn't do anything for out of market, but considering the games will still be streaming on CAA.TV I'm cool with it. Because it will be NU doing the broadcasting for NESN, I think our production teams will improve even more than their already top notch selves.

Only thing I'm concerned about is if NESN tries to black out CAA.tv coverage at all, but the article doesn't give details on that. Additionally, streaming is the furture of TV, and NU has had that in their vision, so I hope NESN recognizes that too.

Good for NE. I would imagine that this is an agreement to broadcast the NE CAA.TV broadcast on traditional TV since NE pays for it and NE does such a high quality broadcast.

This is what I wish UNCW would do with our local independent channel.

I live near Hofstra, and with Fios I get NESN, but unfortunately not in HD. Professional teams like the Red Sox are blacked out.

It doesn’t because the release says games with still be available on gonuxtreme, which is how CAA.tv gets the games.

NESN televised some NU hoops, hockey and baseball games last year through NU.

It’s a great deal by Jeff.

You need to have the MLB package to watch games on NESN, MASN or baseball on the FOX Sports Regional networks.
