I would also add you can make the difference between an elected official hanging out with their constituents and an appointed government official/employee having lunch during a private time. It is not open season on folks just because they work for the government. I agree that public scrutiny comes as part of the job but there is a time, place and manner in which to do it. Again, my main issue is they purposely sought her out (you can hear their excitement on the recorded video when they saw where she was sitting) to disrupt and harass.
Really, where are the forums where she's forced to sit and hear those people tell her what they think of her policies? There aren't any. My GOP Congressman doesn't allow for constituent input by anyone other than fervent Republicans.
So you didn’t watch yesterday’s press conference.
Got it.
But that’s on you
You need credentials to attend a white house presser... not sure what your point of refutation is here.
And its not like people in DC actually have a voting Congressperson or Senator to complain to.
So how about this, when DC residents can go to their VOTING member of Congress and Senators, then rightwingers can lecture them about how they LEGALLY (and what they did was legal, if loud) attempt to express their outrage.

Anytime the Democrats want to return DC to Maryland, I'm fine with it.
DC isn't needed anymore. They returned Arlington to Virginia.

I'll accept that argument right after we merge Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wyoming, and Nebraska into one state (which would still have fewer people than either state).

DC is a city (i.e. not a state) of 67 square miles with fewer people than any state but Wyoming. The next smallest state in area is Rhode Island which is 1,545 square miles.

So these showboating reporters are “above average”? Lol
Did the questions get asked?
Did the same questions get asked repeatedly?
What more needed to be asked of the.secretary that you felt was missed?
How many “questions” were the Tex-mex terrorists asking?
Drop the silliness.
Faux outrage is faux.

They are part of a press Corp. They are not average voting citizens. They have credentials of added access I could only dream of. The people accosting DHS Sec do not have that access. That's all I was pointing out.

And when screaming at people also doesn't work, then what?
Like Rush said today, it's only a matter of time until the alt-left gets someone killed. They're priming the pump for another james t. hodgkinson, and DSA members likely already sympathize with antifa terrorism.

Democratic Socialists of America: We’re Coming After More Trump Officials
When these punks go after innocent Trump officials, they need to be dealt with. These are the actions the board libs here support. That is how insane it has gotten. The one year anniversary of a Dem gunman shooting down a Republican Congressman on a ball field just passed. I am afraid the Dems aren't done with like actions.
Quote:One night after Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen conducted a press conference defending the forcible separation of immigrant children from their families, a member of Washington, D.C.’s Democratic Socialists of America chapter received a text from a friend.
“A member got a text saying ‘Kirstjen Nielsen is eating nachos like ten feet from me,’” Allison Hrabar, a spokesperson for the Metro DC DSA told The Daily Beast.
Less than 30 minutes later, about a dozen members of DSA were inside MXDC Cocina Mexicana, shouting at Nielsen while she tried to eat her Mexican dinner. […]
After video went viral Tuesday night, commenters blasted the demonstrators for disrupting dinner. But unfinished nachos are a small price to pay, DSA members said.
“Oppressed people have never been given their rights by asking politely,” Hrabar said. “Kirstjen Nielsen is not going to be convinced by us politely saying ‘could you maybe not separate children from their families? Could you maybe stop detaining and deporting migrants who have done nothing wrong?’”
“As someone who’s Jewish, I’ve been raised with this notion that this could happen again.” Rabinowitz said. “Never again means never again for anybody.”[…]
Since Sunday, Portland, Oregon activists including members of the Portland DSA, the Direct Action Alliance, and the National Lawyers Guild have been set up camp outside a local ICE prison. The coalition blockaded the roads leading to the facility, preventing anyone from driving in or out. On Tuesday, after a standoff with protesters, every ICE employee except for one security guard left the building, Raw Story reported. The guard, told demonstrators that the facility was closing and that “it’s unknown when it will open.”
Hrabar said the DC DSA has been staging demonstrations outside the homes of prominent ICE and Trump administration officials for the past three months.
“Two weeks from now, we’ll be visiting another high-up Trump administration official at his home and telling him we’re not going to stand for this kind of policy or any detention and deportation of immigrants,” she said.

Socialist Activist Who Harassed Homeland Security Secretary Works For DOJ
The DOJ is a rotten cesspool of leftists. This woman needs to be fired today. Harassing and threatening to harass government officials can't be tolerated by a DOJ employee.
Quote:One of the activists who chased Homeland Security Kirstjen Nielsen out of a Mexican restaurant Tuesday night over the Trump administration’s immigration policies is an employee of the Department of Justice, The Daily Caller News Foundation has confirmed.
Members of the Washington, D.C., chapter of the Democratic Socialists of America crashed Nielsen’s meal with a demonstration full of chants and other outbursts.
One of those participants, Allison Hrabar, actually works for the Trump administration — as a paralegal in the DOJ.
“Kirstjen Nielsen, you’re a villain, locking up immigrant children,” activists can be heard saying in a video.
An employee within the Trump administration initially tipped TheDCNF off about Hrabar’s presence at the protest.
The Washington Examiner spoke with Hrabar Wednesday and she defended her behavior as off government time and a use of her First Amendment rights.
“If you see these people in public, you should remind them that they shouldn’t have peace,” she told The Examiner. “We aren’t the only ones who can do this. Anyone who sees Kirstjen Nielsen at dinner, anyone who sees anyone who works at DHS and ICE at dinner can confront them like this, and that’s what we hope this will inspire people to do.”

Yeah, and everyone has a plan until their punched in the mouth, too. Find the "leader", pop him one, and the rest scatter. Just like in the Fifth Element. They won't fight without the pack leader.
Go take a look at these Antifa punks. I've seen the videos. About 5 or 6 of them surround one guy minding his own business, he I.D.'s the leader, pops him one and the rest scatter like the cowards they are.
