I have to ask, who qives a phuck about a phuckin' photo-op? Now Kim is legit? Now the world will embrace him because he met with a US president? Now everything's changed? That's such a shallow analysis.

If letting the fat man have a few pics with Trump ultimately means real and lasting peace on the Korean peninusla, is that too heavy of a price to pay? Perhaps pallets of cash would have been a better offer? Or pallets of cash AND lifting sanctions. Dunno. You tell me.

If Kim goes back to being the Kim of old, he'll be just as isolated as before, and his anus will be reemed out even more for having tried to screw Trump. Don't believe me, fine, ask Justin.

Ouch, you may have knocked off one of redtoms eyebrows with that.

Well really, but the flags, but the salute to a general, but the photo-op, whine whine whine. Smacks of looking for something, ANYTHING, to say a negative word about what may turn out to be a YUGELY important event in world history. But because it's the magnificent orange bastard who's made it happen, then throw shade on it.

Farkin' liberals are in-phucking-sane.

Ridiculous. Yes, they met. Congratulations. But we both know that unless something is signed and/or Kim starts making changes on his nukes, it's all pretty much meaningless. As I said, to me, this was nothing more than trump declaring a truce with himself.

Again, I'll gladly admit it if my take ends up being wrong.

Will you?

Well, first off, I won't speak for others, but your example requires that we were posting claims of stupid shyte like call me when that happens and I'll gladly sing the praises of the Magic Man.

And just for the record, personally, I heaped TONS of credit on the Magic Man for coming to his senses and abandoning his campaign promises right out of the gate by not only continuing many of the Bush policies he'd campaigned against, but doubling down on them. It was a thing of beauty and left guys like you speechless.

I believe he also stopped the sea levels from rising, and closed Gitmo, so there's that too.

So is Trump now Redtom's President? I thought he wasn't so how could a illegitimate President make a Dictator legitimate.

I thought the whole left said Trump wasn't their President. Glad to see they are coming around

You're obviously not all that impressed either. One wonders though if you guys understand the gravity of what trump has done for Kim here. Shaking his hand (remember when Obama shook Castro's hand and bowed to other world leaders? 03-rotfl), allowing the American flag to be displayed beside and touching the flag of a communist nation lead by a brutal dictator who continues to commit atrocities on his own people, posing for photo-ops allowing Kim to be seen as a legitimate leader, calling him talented and loving his country while they're continually ranked as basically the world leader in human rights abuses.

Umm, exactly how would you conduct a summit without those things taking place? What would your guidelines for an "acceptable" summit be?

Get rid of the flags, don't salute their general, don't pose for a bunch of photos, don't call him talented for being a brutal oppressor of his own people. It's not too hard man. But hey, at least he didn't bow, AMIRITE?

He's not calling anyone talented for being a brutal oppressor, he's using a complimentary throw-away line to try and get something accomplished.

Were you critical of the "Little Rocket man" and fire and fury stuff? Or are you simply critical no matter what he says or does, while not aware of the progress being made?

You know, like the left usually does, style over substance yet again.

Simply defies any basic logic.

Li'l Kim isn't suddenly "legitimate" because he shook hands with Trump or from taking pictures with him or anyone else.

Li'l Kim is legitimate because Admin after Admin has allowed or even contributed to their being able to develop and test, now perhaps even attach to long range missiles, nuclear weapons.

Play the vacuous game of dim tough guy or blatantly try to embarrass or show him up for whatever reason and there may be one of these things paying a visit to Guam, Seattle or LA.

Smart move.

You don't start a negotiation by trying to "put them in their place". Ya butter 'em up, buttercup.

In other words, get rid of everything usually associated with summit conferences under international protocol.

And their general (if he is in fact a general) saluted Trump first. The normal courtesy is for the junior to salute first and the senior to return the salute. That's what happened here. The Saudi didn't bow to Obama first.

This is literally laughable... so if you're Un, and you're all these things you say he is (not disagreeing... just BE him for a moment)... what are you going to do?

Not attend.... maybe even launch a missile just to throw a little tantrum.

You leftists think that being belligerent and pissy all the time with people you disagree with changes people's minds. All it does is isolate you to your echo chambers and cost you elections. If you're telling me that Obama needed to bow to the Saudi King to get him to attend a meeting, then I guess we can agree to disagree.

Simple. If you don't make it a photo-op and Un won't attend, he was never serious about anything anyway and it would be nothing more than a waste of time. Like this think will likely end up.

But I find the bolded part hilarious myself as it's the very definition of trump and a lot of his supporters.

And I'm flattered that you think anything I do personally has any bearing on any election. 03-lol
1) That's what Obama did... and Un has greatly increased his nuclear capabilities during that time. Dumb option

2) So you're equating yourself and the left to Trump supporters... I agree. Lots of small children and a few reasonable people there.

3) YOU are not 'the left'. You're just one of them... and the left couldn't win a rigged election against the worst candidate the right could have picked. You might brush up on your reading comprehension

You'd rather swallow a rotten clam than give Trump credit for ANYTHING and you and the rest of us all know it. If you have given the man credit for anything positive, link me to the comment so I can offer an apology. I won't hold my breath.

And, btw, it's fine if you don't wish to ever give the man credit for anything. That's your right. Just stop pissing down the back of my neck and telling me it's raining.

Like when you guys all gave Obama credit for anything. Spare me the sanctimonious 04-bs

He did nothing to earn any credit and was likely the worst president of our lifetime.

there's no other option than, "hear hear"

rwt using "sanctimonious" is the purest of irony....

Call me when that happens and I'll gladly sing the praises of the orange overlord for his work here. I'm not holding my breath though...you shouldn't either.
Bullshyte with your call me when that happens Tom. How many times have you said that here? I honestly can't thinking one thing good he did. I suppose he was proficient at hiding corruption.

he was nothing more than a poster child with the gift of gab.......that's why the DNC chose him.....

other than that, all he deserved was a Nolan Ryan fastball to the temple.....

having said that, the beauty is how that backfired and gave the USA #henceDJT.....
