What I used to hate was when my Grandmother told us to go break off a switch and we broke one off that we thought wouldn't hurt. It did of course, but what made it worse was when she would say "Now go break me off a real one"

Sometimes I'd get the switch and the belt when he got home. What's worse was my dad worked off shore, so I'd have to wait 14 days for that sh*t.

Nah, not everyone. I think I saw a belt once. After getting caught lighting paper airplanes on fire then throwing to watch them burn and crash. Course I was doing it on the leaf filled yard on the side of the house... well deserved, even to this day.

Mothers go to move was either pulling the hair to get your attention/get you moving or when did something really bad pull the ear lobe. Now THAT schit hurt!

My mother, when she finally reached her breaking point, (I don't know why really, I was an angel) would run after me with the fly swatter. Not the plastic one but the one with the medal handle. Dang, that hurt. I would cry out "that hurts mom". She would return with "that's what it's supposed to do". I didn't get too many beatings. I think my assistant principal beat me with the paddle more than my mom. He knew me by name. "Wha'cha do now, ______?" My coach would swat everyone coming out of the showers, plumb naked and wet when we acted up.
