Unfortunately, I saw this earlier in the day. One of my all-time favorite coaches. What a wonderful man.

I had beer with him at a Huskie golf outing. He was the epitome of a great coach and teacher. He exuded integrity and leadership. Education and coaching could use a 1000's of Bill Mallory.

A Huskies coaching legend for sure. '83 California Bowl champs, entire '83 team inducted into the NIU HOF, 7 NFL draft picks from that team--that's nuts! Mentored Coach Novak who was the D coordinator that year. NIU should dedicate this season to Coach Mallory and the 35th anniversary of the California Bowl champs! Here's to Bill Mallory...04-cheers

Very nicely said, I will say a prayer for coach Mallory and his family.

I played against him when he was at Miami, one of my friends coached for him at NIU.

A model coach and a man's man.
