on Andrew McCabes $70,000 conference table.

Former FBI deputy director Andrew McCabe, who was fired for lying under oath, spent $70,000 in taxpayer dollars on a conference table. The FBI also redacted the conference table’s steep price tag from documents that members of the Senate Judiciary Committee requested, in an apparent attempt to hide it from Congress.

Man, those Liberal Demons think the government treasury is their personal bank account. No wonder Oblunder got us 16 more trillions in the hole.

The species of wood possibly drove the cost up.

I understand that but outside it being made from wood salvaged from the Mayflower $70k? It's a damn table.

It's the government. They can piss more money away on stupid stuff than someone that lives in the trailer park that hits the lottery.

Perhaps we need to "investigate" this purchase. I wonder how much money went into someone's pocket other than the furniture seller?

The most expensive conference table I was able to google was $35,000. I'm sure you could get to $70,000 pretty easy if you want, just need some 24k gold inlay.

I'd verify that it wasn't billed by compány owned by McCabe's wife.

Even without this, McCabe’s value as a witness was already close to Zero. But now, there really is nothing he could ever say on any political/legal subject that would be widely believed. He is a ridiculous figure and only the Trump-haters care what he says or does from here on out.

Our company made some 20 foot table tops for a government agency about 10 years ago. The veneer faces had Walnut and Maple inlays along with other fancy figuring. The faces cost $1100 each. I bet they sold for a high price. Still...I cant see any table costing that much.
