Seattle U hosting tournament
Seattle U will host the Elgin Baylor Classic Tournament in Seattle with Denver, Longwood, and Fairfield

SU hosted a similar tournament in 2011 with Coppin State, San Jose State, and Omaha

This year's tournament will have a location and matchups announced this summer.

Possible locations:
Key Arena (will cut very close to renovation starting, but could be last basketball games played there. A nice farewell to the old, in with the new.
Redhawk Center
ShoWare Center (Kent, seats 8,000)
Angel of the Winds Arena (Everett, seats about 9,000)
Alaska Airlines Arena (University of Washington)

Seattle and Denver feel like brothers from another mother (ie. state).

Um the Key won't be available unless this tournament starts in late September early October. The last event at the Key before the renovation is the GSW vs the Kings in a preseason basketball game.

Wasn't sure when Key renovations started. Knew it was end of this year though. The fact it's not confirmed for Redhawk Center makes me think it's ShoWare Center

Yeah makes the most sense with AofTW Arena as a close 2nd. The nice this about the AofTW is the new airport will be open then and its 10 minutes from a the arena and there are some new lodging spots available too. Kent isn't as nice nor does it have good amenities for fans and the teams.

Coming from a school that played Eastern New Mexico and Prarie View in the non-conference last year.

I know you are trying to rebut Frank but keep in mind of a few things. Prairie View A&M is D1. Last season, was Coach Jans first attempt to set up NMSU's basketball schedule after taking over the program late in the recruiting and scheduling process. And finally, NMSU is mandated by the State of New Mexico to either play one or paid (not to play) the lower division New Mexico schools yearly. It is just easier to play one. However, with CBU added to the conference schedule, that might need to change considering every WAC team will have two less OOC opportunities to work with to bolster their RPI.

True, all that's immediately around ShoWare is train tracks and the jail RJC
