Trojans vs. Cajuns in SB Tourney
Trojans trail 2-1 in bottom of second and have already made three errors. Trojans have three hits and the Cajuns one.

Little Rock has a great top of the 4th scoring 4 runs to tie the game at 7-7.

At least our bats are starting to get untracked again. It seemed like we had gone to sleep for a while there at the end of the season.

Dang! I had to go to the Louisiana web site to find out anything about the suspended game. For the record bottom of the 4th. Louisiana leads 8-7. 2 outs with runners on 2nd and third. You won't find that on sbc site or little rock site as of Thursday morning.

Trojans keep fighting back. If they go out, they are not going with a whimper.

Top of the 7th, one run down, bases loaded, two out. This is NOT where you swing from the heels.

OK, pitchers. We have you a little breathing room. Bring it home.

Won't win many games making six errors. Pitiful defense. Nothing else to say but, we just tanked at the end of the season. Not sure we'll ever get much better until we get a decent ballpark.

Doubt that Casey Stengel could win here consistently. Of course he wouldn't have won seven World Series in New York had he not had DiMaggio, Mantle, Berra, Ford, Rizzuto, Howard, Maris, and the other great Yankees during his reign as manager.

.500 season. Historically, not too bad, because we have not had very many of them.

Speaking of Berra, we went up to St. Louis for a couple of Cardinal games earlier this month and had lunch over in The Hill district. Learned that Yogi Berra and Joe Garagiola literally grew up across the street from each other in St. Louis!

Yes I remember listening to Cardinal games with Harry Carray and Joe Garagiola, and Joe telling stories of he and Yogia being raised together on the Hill. The Cardinals screwed up and signed Joe instead of Yogi. The Hall of Fame tells you the rest.
