I think it is. I hope we are negotiating a deal for some games to be broadcast on the ESPN family of networks, not ESPN+. That would be stupid. Stadium, Facebook, and C-USATV already have the streaming angle covered. We don't need more of that. And, I would not pay to watch our games streaming on ESPN+.

I dont really get that. A bunch of CUSA stuff is only on CUSA-Net which is a worse platform ESPN-Plus and is more expensive than ESPN-Plus. Basically, ESPN-Plus would be better than the current set up--plus my guess is a ESPN will include a half dozen or so traditional TV broadcast slots--plus some cash for the rights. Not to mention, if all the schools are upgrading their production capabilities——they will likely upgrade to ESPN-3 protocols so that CUSA schools can upload most anything they want to stream to the ESPN-Plus platform. In other words, there could be alot more CUSA content available at better quality for a lower cost to the viewer. Thats not a terrible outcome for the remaining content.

Yeah C-USATV is more expensive, but it all goes to C-USA. I would rather put my money back into our conference then hand it over to ESPN, a network that treats the G5 conferences like garbage. I believe we will be better off in the long run if we commit to improving our digital platform, instead of putting more money into ESPN's pocket. Facebook and Stadium stream enough of our games. C-USA needs to sign deals that will place more of our games on actual TV.

Lol... Yeah, okay.

If every single one of UNT's football games were streaming on ESPN+ in 2018, you'd pay every bit of the $4.99/month for it.

First, North Texas won C-USA West last season, so we will get some games on TV this year.

I have season tickets, so I'm at all the home games. Any away games that don't get picked up by CBS Sports, beIn Sports, Stadium, Facebook, an actual ESPN channel, C-USATV, or another distributor, I will just listen to on the radio. I'm old. I have no problem listening to a game on the radio. But, I won't pay one thin dime to watch any content on ESPN+.

Something tells me if you guys are looking for more games on ESPNFamily, you are probably going to be disappointed. ESPN is all about inventory for the Plus right now. MAC and SBC are already on. AAC is going to get dragged over there kicking and screaming. Soon enough, all the non P5 fans everywhere can pay 4.99 a month to watch their favorite teams play.

You do not need an ESPN Subscription for ESPN+, its standalone. However any games that are on an ESPN Channel, you will still need a subscription for.

ESPN+ is a standalone service, you can cancel ESPN and still subscribe to plus.
