I don't believe tickets have went on sale yet through JMU. The visitors section at Carter-Finely (like most at FBS venues) leave a lot to be desired so I'll likely try to find a good deal on better seats through stubhub.

Good point and I totally agree. The tickets were got for the SMU and ECU games were cheaper than the ones offered through JMU and were much better seats.

Only place I am not doing that is 2019 in Morgantown. Staying in the JMU block for safety in numbers there.

It looks like NC State lost a lot on their defensive side of the ball last year. Alternatively, they're bringing most of their offense back. Our defense will be tested and we'll need them to continue to perform at their previously high level in order for our new offense to have a chance against their new defense. We'd be in better shape for an upset if our offense was clicking on all cylinders and returned more than they are.

Don't understand, we have a huge FCS game the following week and no chatter???? This game has much more implications that the NC State game will have towards making the playoffs. It's an instate rival with a stadium that has a larger seating capacity than our own BFS. There are many potential recruits in the area. It's a closer drive from Harrisonburg, though not by much, than is NC State. Why all the love for the NC State game with all that the second game has to offer.

Ordered tickets to the NCSU game today from the NCSU ticket office. They are $40 plus $3 fee for the upper deck corners, which are better seats than the lower deck corners, IMO. I chose Section 31 which typically has plenty of visiting fans for Carter Finley for games against teams with good fan bases.

For reference, the JMU section will be Section 1 and I assume we will bring our band (who would be at the bottom of section 1). Section 9 will probably have plenty of JMU fans as well.

Also there will be a evening Friday night gathering at Raleigh Beer Garden. It's a stellar place with great views and plenty of space. It should be an absolute blast and hope to see folks from the boards there. We're really looking to show off to downtown that we're a great fanbase and would love as many individuals to be there as possible.

haha. trust me when i say that going to a game at WVU is not even remotely like going to an Eagles game. especially considering we're FCS. most will be very friendly to us. but then, most FBS teams are friendly beforehand because they think they have nothing to worry about. WVU, like many teams, has a notoriously late arriving crowd which will be especially pronounced when we show up. if we can punch 'em in the face early, who knows?

Nobody cares about our out of conference schedule except what FBS team We are playing each year. The OOC pretty much stinks every year. It’s all about CAA play and the playoffs and CAA play has taken a hit in recent years. The top of the league remains good but the bottom of the league has gotten worse.

Definitely recommend The Pit! I've been several times and have never left dissatisfied.

Any idea what our allotment is @ NC ST? Wondering if we will sell out.

I have been to the Pit several times. It is very good and you'll enjoy it. Worth trying because as mentioned, it's won a slew of awards. However, I wasn't "wowed" by it. I have had Carolina style BBQ at some dives and events around the state that my nose begged me to try and made my mouth water.
