Had 2nd thoughts about posting this...
But after all the deceased was an EMU student athlete (was or was about to be a fmr. student) and the article was widely available in the Detroit paper.

The amazing thing is how little attention it got say compared to the murder of our FB player, Reed, years ago or Heady's death a few years ago, but Olympic sport athletes do not get the coverage of football or basketball.

Another sad story of a life cut short, very short.

I once thought that EMU athletics should have a memorial wall (ala the CIA) for those who died while at EMU. That would be 3 this decade that I know. Wow. We are talking young men and women no older than say 21 or 22 tops.

Hate to be Debbie Downer but one died while driving drunk--killing an innocent passenger along with herself, one died in a drug deal gone bad...a memorial wall would be wholly inappropriate given the circumstances.
