26th ranked class is very deceiving. Only ranked that high because they have more verbals than anyone else at this point, which brings up overall ranking. They have a few good prospects but if nothing changes too much for them until signing day then they will be ranked somewhere around 70

Not even that high. They are recruiting reasonably well for the MAC but their average rating would put them at 5th in the MAC last year and somewhere in the mid 90s in the country. These rankings aren't meaningful without context this early.

I don't understand why the number of verbals would have ANYTHING to do with it. Shouldn't it be based on average rating, if anything?
