There's a definite line between the first division and the second division.

I've never had a problem with parking but I also never park outside the stadium. The lot behind the outfield and the lot adjacent to the first baseline are prime spots to get your car hit by home runs and foul balls. I always park on Sweetheart Circle under the shady oaks and just walk around Sanford Hall to the stadium. Pro tip for anyone planning to visit.

Drainage will always be an issue when the city of Statesboro itself is built on top of a swamp.

Fair assessment though. I was hoping we would get some bonus points for the fast food restaurants and bars located within walking distance but old timers aren't as enamored with Cook Out as the college crowed is 04-cheers

I can promise you there is ample parking within 5 minutes of the stadium between the actual stadium-side parking and the basketball arena parking. The problem is that it's probably not easy and intuitive to find it...the stadium-side parking you have to reach from Sweetheart Circle and you can't get to the basketball and tennis parking that's right next to that stadium-side parking without spending at least 10 minutes going all the way around the football practice fields and on to Fair Road.

As for the rain...with the amount of rain that fell that week I can promise you no ballpark was going to be dry enough to play ball.

I was there for the rain. I don't think you're correct on that one.

And, ample parking within five minutes of the stadium does not ample parking make.

Hope you can visit some other parks around the league.

I think he means a 5-minute walk, not a 5-minute drive. The Baseball and Basketball stadiums share a lot. If there's enough parking for a 5k seat basketball arena, there's enough for a 3.5k seat baseball stadium.

Certainly not... to the tune of Troy spending $1.1 million for ProGrass turf with an underground draining system that recycles water.

Even though the backstop area, the third base line and the first base line of Stanky Field has fake field as well? That looks funny because you have two different grass colors that don't match, especially when you guys try to make mowing patterns.

USA has had more than a few next-day postponements and game cancellations in the past few years because of your field. Troy has had... zero. If Troy had real grass, then the game against Auburn last night would've wound up getting cancelled because it was a complete downpour.

I’m not a fan of those sections of our field. I’ll easily give up the 1 or 2 games per year we lose to play on a beautiful, freshly mowed field. Just personal preference I guess.

Rain outs come in handy when Troy whips your stud pitcher and Calvi needs a way out.

Not gonna get worked up over a ranking, but there is plenty of parking (even when the park is full w/ 3K) just beyond the outfield wall.

And it USED to be in the center of campus, back when dorms were on Sweetheart Circle ... but it really isn't anymore.

I'm not a fan of the blue monster, I absolutely detest some sightlines due to the way seating was done w/o changes to the dugouts, hate the imbalance and absence of symmetry in the seating and I really don't care for a couple of other things that set off my OCD (a little dip in the fence in the LF/CF gap of a few inches, and a batter's eye that isn't perfectly 'level' -- or the fence isn't plumb there either, not sure which).

The field itself 99.9% of the time is fine, but in all the years I can only recall 2 games delayed or postponed due to LF flooding. It usually isn't an issue.

Edited to add, the media WAS consulted when the new press box was built. We had to climb up a ladder into the old one ... they asked us if we wanted stairs :) (just kidding, sort of)

Yes. We had tornado watches and tons of on and off rain with little sunshine for at least a day and a half before the tournament was supposed to start. Wasn't an ordinary rain at all.

Clements could be so much better, and really should be. The pressbox is ugly. Not a huge fan of the blue monster, but the scoreboard is cool. Need to add outfield seating.
