IMO, the liberals here are starting to get a bit too nasty and personal. No, no, no - not saying a purge on the boards is in order. Just an observation that the discussion is starting to get less talkative and more adversarial on their end.

If the litmus test for admission into heaven was based upon what we consider to be a "true" Christian, then very few of us would get to Heaven.

What I mean by that is that just b/c our fellow human being thinks differently on something here or there has absolutely zero impact on where we go when we die.

Because when you die you face the Big Guy Upstairs AKA GOD. Not me. I wish I realized that when I was younger and the adults told me I was going to "burn in hell forever and swim in a pool of cockroaches for all eternity" because I listened to that "evil, devil rock n' roll music".

You don't achieve salvation through your own righteousness or perfection, that is not even possible. Every single saved Christian in the World who has received the Holy Spirit and are going to heaven at the rapture is capable of sinning, getting angry and succumbing to temptations. You battle against the flesh and temptation as long as you are in alive in this world.

Its faith alone in Christ's shed blood and Resurrection that justifies and saves us.

We are not talking about just any faith, but TRUE, REAL faith. True faith is life transforming, and literally divides your ENTIRE LIFE into 2 parts....Everything before and after that moment. There is no such thing as coming to true faith, and then just going back to your old life and chasing worldly things and pleasures. When you truly believe, you are given new eyes, new ears, a new perspective on the world and everything you do.

You can't love the world, AND love Christ. You have to choose one over the other.

Many today want to both claim faith, but also love the world and all its modern pleasures and sins.

Jesus specifically warned the last church age in Revelation that because they were neither hot nor cold, He WILL vomit them out of His mouth.

You can't become a completely sinless, perfect person who never makes a mistake, but you can choose Christ with all your heart and soul over this lost, fallen world and all its distractions and pleasures. The Holy Spirit and the Word of God will work within you to make you HATE your sins, and take the joy and love of sin out of your heart each day. They will also help you to see your hidden sins you were deceiving yourself over. As you grow in Christ, you will find it easier and easier to walk away from sin and the distractions/pleasures of the modern world we live in. Not to a point of sinless perfection, but to a point where you are a completely different person that you were before, a new creation as is written who seeks to truly give His life for Christ instead of living for yourself and your own desires.

To summarize eric's post above, the exact moment you confess with your mouth that Christ is your Lord and Savior (believing his death on the cross was the ONLY way to pay the debt for our sins and his resurrection gives us eternal life with him) the Holy Spirit enters us and we become JUSTIFIED as righteous in the eyes of God the Father (not sinless but justified to be saved from hell and eternal separation from God.) After that point, the ongoing process of living for Christ rather than living for the world is through discipleship or SANCTIFICATION. This process is never ending until we die on this earth. When we go to heaven we become GLORIFIED as sin and suffering are no more. Can't wait! Hope to see many of you there one day! FWIW - we will have eternity to fellowship with each other and with Jesus - when FAITH becomes SIGHT.

The connecting time frames from all these significant dates in Jewish history is undeniable. If Israel was founded in 1949 or 1950 the whole thing is thrown off. If the first Zionist Congress was established one year later in 1898 the whole thing falls apart. Seemingly held together by a thread this web of intricacy is a testament to the sovereign hand at work. Yahweh’s covenant with His people being fulfilled before our eyes yet few have the clarity to see.

A stunning and sweeping bill was passed by the Israeli government yesterday.

1- The land of Israel belongs to the Jewish people only (as God's covenant to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob stipulates); from 1948 to 2018 it was the land of both Jews and Arabs

In your opinion, where do you think the Temple will be rebuilt? Many scholars believe the Dome of the Rock sits where the previous two Temples stood. These are interesting recent developments in the Knesset. Tisha B'av is today, the day that the Jewish people believe the two previous Temples were destroyed.

Recent archaeological excavations and discoveries have drawn into question the current temple mount.

The actual sight of the first temple seems to be on the north side of the current "temple mount".

There are some inconstancies with the current temple mount. For example, if the temple mount were the actual remnants of Herod's temple, then there would be no "temple mount" because scripture tells us not one stone would be left on another. The dimensions of that temple mount don't fit Herod's temple either and seem more likely to be the remnant of a Roman fort that was built there decades after the destruction of the Temple and Jerusalem.

Its hard to say what they will eventually decide to do as far as the actual placement.

It appears Solomons Temple and Herods Temple were not in the EXACT same spot. So it may not even matter.

It also appears we will be getting answers to these questions very soon.
