I saw some pics of commencement on Facebook and my thought was most of the people there were probably visiting Dix for the first and last time. Sad, really.

Kent should look into an indoor FB stadium with 15k-20k seats.

A place where fans would actually like to be.

Especially since Akron proved how much a new stadium can impact attendance.

I would love to follow the Akron approach of building a new stadium and losing attendance.

There are 6 MAC schools in Ohio. I don’t see any correlation between the comfort of the stadium and attendance. “A place where fans would actually like to be” seems to have jack squat to do with it. Just my observation and I’ve been to them all numerous times. The best thing about any stadium is entertaining football. Unfortunately, that is something Akron has not had since the new stadium was built.

All you have to do is hire the worst coach in NCAA D-I history one year after building your new stadium. Guaranteed to set attendance back by a decade!

That guy was a killer. Interest in the program was really petering out under J.D. and then Ianello came in and destroyed the remnant. Although the record has improved with Bowden, it’s not the type of football that puts fans in the seats because it’s entertaining. I long for the day that Akron could entertain like BG did under Babers. Oh wait. We did. 2012. Too bad the defense couldn’t stop air that season. We would have won 6 games.

Kent did its best to top the Ianello hire by letting Haynes stay all 5 years. I actually felt bad for the players that spent 5 years on those teams. Every time the offense took the field it felt like I was watching America's funniest home videos. There was a lot of getting hit in the nuts but every now and again there would be a nice animal video to make you feel good followed by more shots to the nuts.

Would be nice to see crowds like this at Dix, even on a semi-regular basis. Akron, as well ...

The home side is cool. The rest? Very high schoolish. Would be very easy to Photoshop this though. Anything helps when ur KSU football.

I don't think we could lose attendance even if we played on the commons. I don't care what the attendance figures are, the number of people in the seats Is small.

If we did play on the commons, the count of people walking past would probably be greater than the people stopping to watch
