Sorta On Topic Non-Rocket Recruiting Story
Jordan Brown who is ranked from 31 to 14 in the recruiting lists and was the top unsigned 2018 recruit left in the spring signing period comes down to UCLA St Johns Cal Louisiana-Lafayette (solid mid major where his dad played ball) Arizona and Nevada. He chooses to go to Reno and the MWC sweet 16 team of this season. Not really MAC news but a big mid major hoops story. Nevada has their top 3 guys juniors declared but unsigned for the draft. if they come back with the 6-11 Brown coming in (and like 5 good D1 transfers) they could be a top 5 team next year.

More OT, Ken Epperson's kid played in 12 games as a freshman for Creighton. Had minor knee surgery during the season. Averaged 6/3. Saw him play a few games. Not very strong or athletic, but a big kid who could have a nice career.

I think the success of Butler and Gonzaga and the periodic mid major final 4 runs of the last 15 years have made some top recruits see the value of going a strong program in a lower profile conference. More focus, players stay around longer, academics still matter... some guys like all that.
