If season ended today, Rice would be in the conference tournament, I believe.

Thing is, it doesn’t.

Correct. Three teams are tied at 7th at .440

On the tiebreaker, currently it would seed:
7. WKU (4-2 among tied group)
8. Rice (2-2)
9. UAB (2-4)

Still a very tight group heading down the wire.

Rice really needs to climb to 7th, and be part of that 2, 3, 6, 7 pool in Biloxi. The Texas Owls have some unfinished business with their Florida counterparts and it will be interesting to see Rice meet FAU in the conference tournament.

UTSA trails 2-0 after five innings. The Roadrunners have been limited to four hits after last night’s hit parade.

Wallner with a 3R bomb to right center and USM leads 10-1 after 6.

Make it 12-1 USM. Powell with the best start of his career in Powers' spot.

Tech may not be a regional team this year, but that is a really quality lineup that is better than some teams that we will see in June. Encouraging to see someone other than Sandlin come out and show that they are capable of shutting down an offense of that caliber.

Eagles walk it off in the 8th for the rare 15-run mercy rule. Eagles win 16-1.

Wallner with his 2nd HR of the game...this one a solo shot to dead center. That gives him and Reynolds both 13 on the year.

With the win today along with FAU losing Friday, USM can clinch the regular season championship with a win on Sunday OR just a single win at Marshall next weekend as our lead is 3.5 over LT and 4 over FAU

4th largest crowd of season and largest CUSA attendance this season of 4,580

Another solid crowd today....4,383. Tomorrow is Mother’s Day so attendance may drop some but if not it will set a cusa record for a series.
