The Master Plan was released 5 years a go. There were 3 Tiers originally with the Press Box/Suites being done at the end of Tier 2. Since then, they have moved the items from Tier 3 to now and funding is currently being secured for those projects. The Box/Suites will be done after those about 2 years from now.

There were more pics than this, but I can't find them anymore.

Go to 2:20 mark for a few more pics of the upper deck.

That plan was scrapped they are conducting a feasibility study right now and should have the new plans ready to reveal to the public by football season... we should have a new pressbox by 2020

That's what I meant by saying they were moving things around. Plans change all of the time. When the Master Plan was released, it served as a guidepost. Projects completed look nothing like how they were designed in the Plan. The time frame was changed weeks after the release as well. Then , there was the fiasco with the baseball park. Stuff happens.

Instead of doing the stadium first, then doing the Tier 3 things like the Tennis facility later, they decided to lump them together for one final fund drive. In doing so, the stadium and the football offices will be pared down from initial plans.

....but it's still gonna be gangsta.

This is the one I was thinking about. I like the smaller upper deck and the overall design of the press box and suites/club seating. Very clean look. Interested to see what actually makes it through the funding/architectural/construction process.................

If you're talking aesthetics from the outside looking in, ok, but I've been in the TXST press box and it's seriously nothing to write home about.

What specifically falls short about the facility in your opinion? From pics and videos I've seen it looks like a pretty swanky interior!

I've been in both the club level and in the suites at bobcat stadium and both are pretty classy.

Offseason Poll and Discussion #3: SBC Press Boxes
Is this thread about the height of your press, suite and club tower?

I would think since good majority of us have never ventured in all of the belts press boxes, a good chunk of it is physical aesthetics (but if some would like to share pictures or videos of interior that would be pretty sweet)

At TXST, don't confuse the press box and the suites/club.

In the picture above, you can see the press box is the lowest level (between the bobcat logos). It is for press, tv/radio broadcasters, and home/away coaches. It is a utilitarian workspace...think white laminate countertop over visible 2x4 framing.

The suites/club seats are the upper two levels. I've spent one game in the suites and one game in the club level. They are both very, very nice.

I agree. Just asking as we wer ranked 7th and ours was used by a MLB franchise two years ago so whoever is ahead of us must be 5 star accommodations.

RE: Offseason Poll and Discussion #3: SBC Press Boxes
Too bad I have no photos of the inside of the press box. My job was to photograph the football team. I wandered up there one Saturday to see what the view was like, to get some pre-game shots. Since I didn't have pro equipment, the view was a total bust.

tx.state is right. Really bland, except the seats. Not much room to move around. It's just not eye popping or special in any way, shape or form.
Maybe the video, and or radio areas were different but I was at the far end and it really wasn't much. (and all of the doughnuts and drinks had been scavenged.)

This was also a few years back. Maybe they've made some changes and it's better. I can't address that.
