As to Barrow... Meh.

I'm not going to wish him ill, nor am I going to wish him any luck either. He was never a Bearcat, he won't be a Bearcat.

I know it's a slow news day when it comes to Football, but I'm moving along.

He will be seeing some of the same talent level at LSU as he would if he won the starting gig at Ohio State. It's not like he is transferring from a small school and stepping up in competition.

I will likely forget all about him once the season starts. I don't think I have seen an LSU game in about a decade.

Assuming he wins the starting job for the Tigers...

Joe Burrow was nobody to me.

Suddenly, he was potentially a somebody.

Now, he is back to being a nobody to me.

Though I did watch that high school state championship game. He was pretty good (I still prefer the guy we had at Minster).

RE: LSU, Cincinnati Granted Permission
Fans always get excited for "big time" transfers. Its fun to wait and see, but for every Russell Wilson (NC State -> Wisc.) there are plenty you never hear from again.

I wish this young man well, but he most likely won't set the world on fire at LSU and most likely UC if he came here. Heck, I have already forgot the guys name who transferred in as a QB from N.D. and ended up being a below average LB for UC.

So I should cry? I just do not care. I do not hope for anything for him good or bad. Then again how any of us feel is meaningless anyway.

Go ahead and speak your mind D. It's a lost art nowdays.

Some us can still recognize context.

...and if Burrow blows out his knee this year, it's not your fault.

Well, I don't know about injury but I'll laugh my arse off if he ends up sitting... again.

Like I tweeted, there's a reason this guy didn't see the field at Ohio State. It's not like he's leaving that reason behind. Urban saw or didn't see something in him and he sat.

Nothing says big time program like hoping for a career ending injury because a transfer chose to go elsewhere.
