Obviously, Tony Poljan and Tyler Wiegers are going to be very good QBs in the conference. Way to rip a kid who hasn't had a chance to even take a snap yet, classy. For me, it is going to be nice to be able to root for an EMU QB who his teammates are actually going to rally behind and NOT want to kick his azz, er allegedly...03-lmfao Is there an emoji with a black eye??

Classless post! Have you emailed Scraggie yet?

That which applies to ljm, also applies perfectly here:

Courage? Oh yeah, you are brave. You just called the EMU QB the second worst QB in the MAC on a public forum. You did. Own it. So the next time you're hanging around the EMU practice facility, why don't you come clean and tell Tyler to his face? What's that? Thought so.

Guys, PMs are a good forum to vent at each other...

It would be nice if disputes were kept private.

Interesting film. Interested in E'Tough's comments.

My take:

1). Strong arm. Not sure the throwing mechanics and foot work are there yet. Needs to be coached to become a good FBS QB. Has the arm so the rest will come.

2). Very good runner. Big, quick, powerful runner. Looks really good on the QB draw and keeper. Not suggesting it, but he probably could be a good MAC RB. He has size, power, quicks, etc. of a good RB. Shouldn't be fragile like Reggie Bell was. I'd guess he'll play at around 215 which means some DBs aren't going to be happy to tackle him.

I posted an article from Athlon sports that ranked him that way, nice try though.

Bob loved Reggie Bell, not D1 material, transferred to D2

Bob hated Brogan Roback, just signed a 3 year NFL contract.

Bob loves Tyler Wiegers..............uh oh Tyler.

Okay, let's disqualify Bob as the QB sleuth. Can I take his place? 03-lmfao

E'Tough: Interested in your opinion on Grissom and your comments on my comments (above).

My take:

Only QB on the roster that has the potential to be a program changer. Athleticism and running ability not often seen in a MAC QB. With the right OC, he could be a nightmare for opposing DC's. Just his scrambling ability and the threat of the run automatically makes him a better passer. The zone read slows down the DE's. The threat of the run gets the safeties creeping up, with more single coverage outside. On scrambles guys automatically come wide open at some point. All that being said, he shows a pretty good arm on film as well. Keeps his eyes downfield on scrambles and rollouts and throws with accuracy on the run. Pretty good straight line zip on the slants. Nice touch on deep balls, although usually to guys running wide open (again, many times because he's scrambled and DB's can only cover so long.)

When this kid shows up they've got to get him reps and figure out what they've got. Coaches pretty much know what they've got with all the QB's on the roster, except Grissom and Glass. Probably the 2 most talented we have.

The MAC is a QB league. We're not contending for MAC titles with middle of the road QB's. Give at least 2 or 3 of them meaningful reps in that first game. Call plays to each of their strengths, and see what happens.

Agree. With good coaching, S&C, etc. etc. he is a high ceiling athlete.

As of today, I really like Glass' polish. He isn't as big and strong as Grissom, but he has a nice strong arm, accurate, makes all of the throws and is a nifty runner.

Regardless of how 2018 quarterbacking works out, 2019 should be good. By then Glass, Grissom, etc. should be ready to roll.

I wish we had a 'laugher' for the first game so we could play 2 or 3 QBs, but Monmouth is no pushover. They won a lot of games in FCS last year.

You think Roback will be with the Browns 3 years??? Haha he won't make it past August!!! The guy is terrible. He proved that in his time at EMU. I will bet you big money he doesn't make the Browns. Care to wager? I have plenty of $$$, could be fun.

Bob, you are now using Roback as your 'foil' so you can argue with posters on this forum.

That kind of stuff ruins these forums which depend on posters being civil. These forums aren't like a carpool where someone can be voted off.

Dear steve,
Let's not sell short the receivers that are with the team. Sexton alone could be the next Sergio Bailey. Along with him, Kenyon Marshall, Issac Holder, Line Latu, and Lemar Harris, all looked good in the spring game. That's just the wide receivers. Let's see if some of the tight ends turn into good targets as well.

Honestly, I don't really care who the QB is. Just find the best one to produce wins now. Someone with the ability to make plays while taking care of the ball is preferred.

Bob loved Reggie Bell, not D1 material, transferred to D2

Bob hated Brogan Roback, just signed a 3 year NFL contract.

Bob loves Tyler Wiegers..............uh oh Tyler.

Bob and ljm just sad individuals, who actually enjoy trying to ruin the board. Never a positive thing to say.......really incredible.

You're obsessed with us.

Feel sorry for you actually. Need to take a serious look in the mirror and ask yourself why you apparently enjoy being despised on the sports forum of your alma mater.

At this point, I'll just let karma have it's way with you.
