More cleanup following the coaching hire fiasco. She obviously ticked off some boosters and lost trust with the inner circle.

If I had to guess, I'd say it had much more to do with her not going along with the outsourcing of the facilities/maintenance work on campus that Governor Haslam had proposed and advocated.
And the manner in which she was fired, with her scathing termination letter very quickly leaked to media outlets, indicates she really pissed off the wrong people. Of course, the fact she was fired only 15 months after she arrived in Knoxville tells me the search and vetting process was extremely flawed. The reasons given for her firing, if accurate, should've, imo, been evident during the interviewing process to those that eventually hired her.
