Saints don't have #27 anymore

I know, I was wanting them to hold at 27.

RE: NFL Draft
CUSA has as many 1st rounders as the Big 12 right now (I think). I'm just thankful the highlights of Davenport I saw right now didn't have him scoring his TD against Rice.

If we traded up, this is the position I wanted to trade up for. We've been struggling to find someone opposite Cam Jordan since we cut Junior Gallette. You can't sign them in free agency. What Dallas is doing with Demarcus Lawrence is a great example. 1 year 17million dollar franchise tag. Nobody lets pass rushers walk. They're so rare these days. And Davenport is big enough to play every down. He's not one of these 250lb pass rushers that's going to be a liability against the run. In the past two years we've spent 2nd, 3rd, and 5th round picks on defensive ends..and free agent dollars on Okafor and Kruger. Hopefully we're set now.

RE: NFL Draft
I think that the Saints gave up way to much to get Davenport. You better hope he turns out to be a game changer on defense, ala Troy Polamalu (Steelers Safety 2003-14). If I'm giving that much up as a fan I'm expecting a game changing skill position player on offense.

We got a game changing skill position player with our 2nd round pick when we traded it for a 3rd last year and drafted Alvin Kamara. We have a great offense. What we needed more than anything else is a player to rush the passer opposite Cam Jordan. We need Davenport to be a double digit sack guy.

You just better hope you got a Troy Polamalu and not a Courtney Brown (Browns overall #1 2000).

I don't want either of those guys. I want a double digit sack guy. In case you missed it, we had the offensive and defensive rookies of the year last year...and four guys on the all-rookie team. I have confidence in our front office.

I’ve heard Mike White and Chase Littton mentioned as QBs the Saints may consider later in the draft.

Since Bears didn’t get Nelson I’m hoping he will still be there when Bears pick.

Congrats to young Mr. Davenport on his first round selection. I know all the Roadrunner fans are as proud as they can be of him.

Yep me too, just like Forrest Lamp in last years draft...Everyone said he would be a late first round pick and then he drops to second round...Hernandez will not last too long tonight in second round....

RE: NFL Draft
Read somewhere that Marcus Davenport generated a total of $5.1 mil in advertisement for UTSA with all of the coverage that he got last night.

Do you know how that's quantified? Is it based solely on viewership?
