MyBB Timmy Bond speaks from the heart...

He said that a year ago his mother was diagnosed with cancer.

Great young man and we were very fortunate to have him for four years.

Seems like a great young man. One of my all time favorite Eagles...I'll miss him quite a bit. I don't know if we will ever see another player that was as amazing at the "fast break block" as he was. It was like an art form, and the build-up when you knew it was coming was so much fun. You could do a pretty lengthy highlight tape of his whole career with just those plays.

I'm sure he will be successful in whatever career path he chooses.

I was honored to be at this young man's senior night and I was part of the standing ovation yelling my vocal chords off in appreciation of his career. Tim Bond made EMU a better place. It was indeed fitting that this four year senior did not have to share the spotlight with any others as he was unique. Best of luck to him in his future endeavors to be sure.

Timmy also taught fans a big listen: athletes are human. They are not like a car where you turn the key and hopefully 99.99+% of the time it functions properly.

In the last year we had one playet's parent die and another have cancer. Two out of MBB, not EMU FB. Big difference in numbers, say 15 vs. almost 100.

Players play with injuries. They play with emotional hurts. Some have financial issues or what not. And so on...
