One key note I'll make is the current limbo the Cajuns have with Cayenne--Multiple stories published within the last year and two seemed to hint that Louisiana administrators and other officials are debating whether to keep or retool their costume mascot and I'm sure our Cajun friends can give us more up to date info regarding that.

If Cajun fans like their mascot, well, more power to them, but I think it's kind of silly. That's the one I don't care a whole lot for.

We removed the swastika from Yosef's forehead in 2016 for political correctness considerations.

This has been a topic on RP for a while. I DO NOT like Cayenne. I personally would prefer to not have a costumed mascot of any sort. I really dont like any unless its a live mascot like Colorado, UT, etc. Except tigers, I f-ing hate tigers.

Manson looks more like an Allman brother, not Yosef..........

about the only one I'm really not a huge fan of is troy's--I feel like "trojans" would be better served as a real person similar to what USC does

To be fair, you could say that about quite a bit of other mascot/team entities throughout the athletic landscape (Spartans, various warriors, paladins, etc) but I don't think a "muppet-esque" warrior/solider mascot meshes very well (not a huge fan of Sparty over a Michigan State for the same reason)

A lot of Troy fans are in favor of both a costume mascot and real person mascot. Also, costume mascots (usually) work well with kids.

And to reply to another comment. Troy lost some battles, but so did everyone. The point is that they fought hard with great bravery and tenacity, and they would always rebuild. And they didn't lose very often.

T-Roy has to be the worst looking mascot in the conference. That is rough

I got the perfect mascot for the Ragin Cajuns, he could shoot his rifle every time we score a touchdown. Since Cajun Field is the swamp every pre-game we release an alligator, and oh boy can go out there and wrangler up the alligator.

I love Coastal Carolina, but come on.... a "Green" chicken, what did he fall into a nuclear reactor...

That would be sweet! I know quite a bit of astate fans that have been very vocal about having a live red wolf (some even dreaming about having like an outdoor exhibit similar to what LSU and North Alabama have with their tigers) but due to the red wolf being borderline extinct, doubt it'll ever happen

The Belt needs more live mascots. Freedom is lonely.
