Yesterday, the #29 ranked KSU men qualified at the Kissimmee Regional for the NCAA Championship tournament in two weeks in Stillwater OK. The #16 ranked KSU women are in Oklahoma this week for the Women's Championship. KSU is the only non-P5 school to have both the men's and women's teams qualify for the National Championships.

The KSU women finished 7th out of 24 teams after 72 holes of stroke play at the NCAA Championship and for the second year in row advance to the match play quarterfinals tomorrow afternoon on the Golf Channel, facing #1 Alabama.

Correction: the match vs. Alabama starts at 8:00 a.m. EDT with Golf Channel coverage starting at 11.

The Flashes five starters include one junior, two sophomores, and two freshmen. Young, but several have lots of international tournament experience.

Toledo’s three incoming recruits are from three different continents. Hard to find someone from the US on either M or W’s team. Tennis, at least on the men’s side, is the same.

Round 3 of the men’s NCAA championship today. The Flashes started the day in sixth place and have moved up to fourth early in the round. The field gets cut down to 15 teams for tomorrow’s final medal play round, then the top eight teams move onto the match play quarters and semis on Tuesday with the championship match on Wednesday.

The Flashes’ Chase Johnson is currently in 3rd place at 5-under. The individual title is determined in the 72-hole medal play.

So it looks like we'd end up as 10th in the Nation...we finished round 4 10th in the nation, with the top 8 moving on
