it is because even 247 uses the composite score to rank the player. The 81 ranking is just one guy who likes Jones' game. But even 247 isn't willing to put all their eggs in one basket because one guy likes him. They will use the composite.

I like Joe, and he kinda has a point...but Memphis is in SUCH a better position now than it was before. Needs to let it go. Hope he finds a landing spot bc he earned it.

Most articles nationally always refer to the 247 Composite as the benchmark

NBC Sports has a relationship with Rivals, so they use that, as does Yahoo Sports

net-net, the 247 Composite is the better way to look at this

Joe is a working man...He didn't get a golden parachute like Tubby ($235,000 a year). So bagging on a guy who NEEDs another job for advertising his accomplishments is just wrong.
