Possible Transfer
I always look for LR area kids who are transferring out of bigger programs. Austin Reeves, who averaged about 8 points, is transferring from Wichita State. He is not from Central Arkansas, but he is from Newark, just outside of Newport. Closer to Jonesboro, but not much further to Little Rock. Wonder if he would be a possibility. I'd like to see us get a good transfer or 2, but obviously we can't overdue it. We need guys who will be eligible to play next season.

Austin's dad is Bryan Reeves that was the point guard for A State back in the early 90s. He's a very good player, I'm surprised he's leaving Wichita but I would bet he ends up a Red Wolf although I would take him in a minute if he had any interest. We used to play Newark back when I was in HS so I have followed Reeves career and watched his TV games, like I said, he's a good player.

Thanks for that info. Sounds like he will be a Red Wolf unless they are out of scholarships. At the moment, it seems like we have plenty to spare.

RE: Possible Transfer
According to Arkansas Hoops, Reaves has already been contacted by Maryland, Arkansas, Arkansas State, Butler, Tennessee, Oklahoma, Northern Iowa, Iowa State, Michigan, and Auburn, among others.
It appears that he can play at a high level if he chooses to. Can't see him coming here, but going "home" to ASU seems quite possible.

RE: Possible Transfer
ASU fans, on their board, initially indicated he would come "home". A lot of folks on hogville indicated Anderson would "right a wrong" and bring him to Fayetteville after not offering him out of high school. Now the ASU board is saying he is not looking at any instate schools. Somewhere I saw Oklahoma mentioned.

ARHoops is doing whatever they can to keep him away from us. The guy who runs that site hates us. I hate that site.
My guess is he's going to go P5. Never know though.
