This is REALLY a big milestone biblically. Even the number 70 itself has strong prophetic indications in the bible, and they all surround Israel throughout its history.
1- 70 years of Israel's Babylonian captivity (a mirror of this anniversary)
2- 70 souls enter Egypt with Jacob
3- 70 days of mourning for Jacob (Israel) in Egypt
3- 70 years old Abraham called
4- 70 weeks of Daniels prophecy
5- 70 AD fall of Israel to Rome
6- 70 Disciples appointed by Jesus
We are the generation of the fig tree Christ spoke of. (Matt 24:32)
Israel is in the land celebrating it first full generation since 70 AD, its strong and thriving like no other nation in the region (Netanyahu recently admitted this is the strongest and safest Israel has ever been, including the ancient Kingdom age). There is a gathering of nations against it in Syra on its northern borders that that bible predicted (Iran, Russia, Turkey), they are STILL rejecting Christ as their Messiah just as predicted, the UN and world leaders are all calling for "Peace and safety", travel, communication and knowledge have all suddenly exploded exponentially.
And all these things are coming right at the 6000-year mark (the entire Bible lays down a 7000 year/7 day pattern, with the 7th day/Millenium being a sabbath of rest). And we are also at the beginning of the 3rd prophetic day since the crucifixion. (1 day=1000 years, 2 Peter 3:8, Psalm 90:4). Christ rose on the 3rd day, the Bible strongly suggests His Body will also rise early on the 3rd prophetic day since the crucifixion. We have already completed 2000 years on the biblical/lunar based calendar since the crucifixion.
We are at the 6000 year/early 3rd day point right now as Israel celebrates this 70th anniversary.
