His summary is consistent with my prognostication for the season: the Bearcats will be better this season, but maybe only slightly. They are probably another season or two away from getting back to competing for a conference championship.
I'm just hoping to watch the offense execute on a consistent basis and for the defense not to be a sieve. If I can watch those two things happen I will be a happy camper, record be damned.

Depending on the league and coaching at other teams, I see them in the mix in another 2 years. This year I think UC plays teams tougher, but 7-6 is probably the ceiling, but I would guess a 5 maybe 6 win season.

I'm ready for the UCF / Cinci games to finally mean something. I was most excited to play Cincinnati when we got into the AAC in 2013, but after scheduling forced us to not play until 2016 for the first time, well into the Tubberville disaster, and right after the winless season for UCF, naturally things were less than exciting.
When are you guys going to schedule tougher? UCLA, 2 MAC games and an FCS? I understand one of the MAC is a rivalry so that won't go anywhere, but the others?

Good opportunity for y'all. Hopefully Cinci is firing on all cylinders by then.
UCF has Stanford at home and Pitt away that year. If the stars align, UCF @ Cinci could be a critical game

Confusing post is confusing. Series is 2-2 in the AAC, and all of the games were competitive.

Yeah, me too. The league didn't have us play the first 2 years when it would have been a top of the conference showdown, then the last 3 years have been Cincy blowout, UCF blowout, UCF blowout in order.
We just need to get these better players through our ranks and into upperclassmen. Honestly, the last 3 classes Tubbs brought in were so bad overall. There have only been a handful of above average starters in those 3 classes at all.
Goal for this year is playing competitive football consistently and making a bowl. We do that, and I'm very happy that we will be back to competing for conference championships.

Ah I forgot about the 2015 meeting.
Truth be told I forgot a lot about that season...
